This land is approximately 11 acres of forested, family-owned property with 950' of waterfront on the famous Ausable River. We have a personal camp on the property, where we reside in the summertime. For our guests, we have 3 tent sites on the river (requiring you to carry your gear from our designated parking approx. 100 yards) and 3 forested sites with easy access. The Ausable River is famous for its Fishing and kayaking, and many stories have been featured in outdoor magazines. We are only 5 miles away from 'Ausable Chasm'. We are approximately 25 Miles away from Keene, NY- the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. (A hiker's paradise) For Rock Climbers- we are approximately 5 miles away from the famed rock face of 'Poke-O-Moonshine' Mountain! We do allow access to the river for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing etc. in designated areas- ask us for details upon arrival. *Please Note- Property is adjacent to Interstate 87 (Expect to experience some highway noise) Firepits are available on a first come first serve basis. (We have three available at all times)

We had a great time despite picking a rainy weekend. We were lucky to have the entire place to ourselves with 4 dogs. Did a little fly fishing down at the river. The trail on the way down to the river had us laughing with all the fun stuff through the woods! Such as telephones on trees, signs warning of Bigfoot and Zombies as well as some fun loving gnomes to greet us along the way. Very creative. Thank you for a fun getaway!

Close to Adirondack and serene
When we arrived to our (month prior booking) there were remnants of a hurricane hitting the area. We had booked the riverside camp site 1, which was a beautiful secluded location just not safe during flash flooding. John kindly offered us to stay at the RV site 4, without charge, and for which we are so grateful! The site we stayed at was spacious and far from other sites however, convenient for leaving/coming. John and Michael showed us the few trails on the property and the awesome earthen stairs they've built and maintain to the river as well as the clever bridge to the swimming and fishing access! The sites are lightly decorated with quirky items such as a skeleton waving from a kayak above and a dial phone on the tree. John mentiomed local must-sees while in the area. I wish we could have stayed longer, though the weather was not permitting. We were able to bring our dogs and they enjoyed the wide openness of the property while still very private to the public. These hosts are friendly and helpful, they even gave us personal cell incase of emergency.

John's campsite was a hidden treasure! He was a very informative and friendly host. He gave us a tour of the property upon arrival. John also gifted us a Timber Tote fire log. I have heard of them, but had never used one. They are so convenient and last for a few hours. We unfortunately had an accident with our dog while there, and John responded immediately and rendered help. He was understanding and compassionate, and I cannot thank him enough. (Dog is going to be ok!) ⛺
