Adirondack Acres has about 80 acres of vast unexplored territory where there are deer, bear, coyotes and a variety of wild birds. We are off the grid heading towards Lake Placid New York. If you are lucky, you might get a glimpse of Whiteface Mountain, which is the Olympic Mountain of the East. Our property extends across the road to the top of Cold Spring Mountain. DUE TO RECENT CONDITIONS WALK IN ONLY!!!! If you go towards Keeseville, Ausable Chasm is 5 minutes away, The Grand Canyon of the East. During Summer FREE LIVE MUSIC ON THE GREEN every Friday 6pm-8pm, in our little town of Keeseville NY, Adirondack maps of hikes and trails will be in our tiny shop, up on the wall, inside from the elements of mother nature along with extra CATS TRAILS MAPS and other local interests in our area. Learn more about this land: Walk Adirondack Acres Trail to the end and you will find a beautiful private natural beach on the shores of the Au sable River, which is well known for the best place in the world for fly fishing. We are pet friendly about a ten-to-15-minute walk to your car and all that is left is you and nature. We are right in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains on the way towards Whiteface Mountain with spectacular views. Our toilet accommodations are set up at the Meet and Greet area in the tiny stand or you are welcome to bring your own if ours is not suitable. Maple fields and Stewarts Shops both have full indoor bathrooms for the public. wi-fi password is available if you ask us for it. Campsite numbers available this year will be Site2 which is left, we are planning to OPEN second site which will be on the right side, Site1, when it is finished. In the middle of Summer, you can ask about it. Only 1 site is open, Site2, on the entire land at this time. This year we have changed a few things and we have added some changes hoping to improve every year and we hope you have a wonderful time here on our beautiful land that we are very blessed to share and enjoy, with you our Hip camp, friends! We have it as a 10-to-15-minute Walk in depending on where you park, for vehicles with no 4x4. We are requiring 4x4 and some clearance to be able to drive up to the site. Wood is FREE off the land; we suggest bringing wood for the first campfire especially if it has been raining. You can look for firewood on our land and we have it available where we Meet and Greet. Arnold's grocery, is a small mom and pop store with 375 different kinds of beer, wood, and local art. Maple fields grocery store and Stewart's stores also has gas, grocery, wood, and both have restrooms. And just to be extra safe when we meet and greet to show a group down to the river, we will be staying at least 6 feet apart and not shaking hands be smart, be safe. We want you to be able to experience nature to its fullest.

No.
Couldn’t stay the night. Too muddy and was impossible to access the campsite without an ATV. Ended up asking to cancel and only received a small portion refund. Would recommend only if the path over was accessible by foot.

Host was nice, but the walk to the campground was no fun. A 15 minutes walk through mud and there was no wagon to help with the gear. Dry wood was accessible through the host, but no way of transporting it with the gear on the back and without a wagon.

Will continue to keep comin' back!
I've been coming to this spot every year. I love it and so does everyone that I bring with me. It's definitely a haul down the path to the site, but makes it an adventure — which is always great. So private, lots of land, plenty of wood to scavenge, right on the river, little beaches, and beautiful stars! I love this place.

Beautiful campsite, hardcore walk
Overall we had a great experience. The campsite is beautiful and private, located next to the river, surrounded by a lush forest and flowery fields. The downside is the long walk leading up to the site, which was in no way accessible by car. We had to cross muddy ponds with our stuff and we would’ve packed differently had we known. Fellow Hipcampers, beware and pack light!!!!! On the positive side, the site is beautiful and feels safe (even as a group of young women). Christina is nice and lives right across the parking.

Highway noise is constant and very loud. When I got to the site it was littered with garbage...6 tires, lawnmower, pile of junk from other campers, old gross sleeping mat, etc I also didn't feel the site was private. Both days there were people hanging out on the rocks directly in front of the campsite beach (maybe 30 feet away) as well as people floating down the river in tubes just feet from all my stuff. It made me uneasy leaving the site to go hiking in the mountains but luckily everything was fine there. The walk in was described as wet and muddy so I won't fault it for that but it's not exactly pleasant walking through mud up to your shins multiple times the second you get out of your car. This could easily be fixed with a couple loads of stone/gravel and would go a long way to improving the site. The campsite itself is quite nice...beautiful river with a nice beach and a nice little private area to setup camp. Unfortunately I just can't recommend it though. I actually left a night early because I finished my hike and just didn't enjoy being at this campsite.

More than we bargained for
The campsite itself is gorgeous. However, cannot undersell the over 1/2 mile hike in through sticky mud and tall grass. There is not a toilet available as noted (this was fine for us, but good to know) and while they welcomed us to leave trash bags (we opted to carry everything out), there were not trash cans or recycling on site. We had a few wonderful weekend once we were setup, but that was much more of a process than we thought we bargained for. Bring your backpacking gear and supplies you can carry in one load through mud. Hiking boots were a must for that!
