Welcome! This spot offers a rare chance to camp by a mossy brook, with its waterfalls, whirlpools, glacial boulders, and pools. We are Brad and Christine, and we are excited to share our off grid pocket of eastern forest. This magical site overlooks a mountain spring fed brook. The thick moss practically glows on the rocks, as the brook runs under a thick canopy of trees. As the brook leaves our land, it passes under a centuries old, hand hewn, granite bridge. All of which can be seen from the site. What can't be seen is houses, street lights, or traffic. The sky at night offers wonderful views of the heavens, undiluted by ambient human light. The property is 12 acres, surrounded by thousands of acres of private, undeveloped land. This is a rare spot, that is on the edge of wildness, but is only 9 minutes from a grocery store, pharmacy and EV charging station. Across the dirt road from us is our neighbors pasture with a changing cast of farm animals, including donkeys, horses, sheep, and pigs. We are in the Lakes region of New Hampshire. The property is in Wolfeboro, which has been attracting visitors since 1749, it is considered the oldest summer resort town in America. We are 40 minutes from downtown, on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire. This quaint town offers shops, cafe's, restaurants, boat rentals and lake cruises. The fishing is legendary. There are many other beautiful towns to explore in this region, our personal favorite being Sandwich. This area is known for its many outdoor activities, with hiking and mountain biking trails, lakes and rivers to Kayak or canoe. We are only a few minutes drive to the Cotton Valley Rail Trail. If seeing the Atlantic ocean calls to you, we are an hour from the Maine and New Hampshire coasts, with its rocky outcroppings and sandy beaches. You can't go wrong with its historic port towns like Portsmouth in NH and York, Kennebunkport, and Ogunquit, Maine.The site overlooks a long, cascading brook through the woods. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the water from your fire pit. The site is a private 22' by 45', flat sand pad (natural to this area) carved out of the woods. It is surrounded by trees on three sides, and is accessed from our wide, gravel driveway. There is room for a big rig, extra cars, Kayaks, etc. There is a private path though the woods to the stone bridge, whose centuries old craftsmanship can only be seen from our land. The brook rises and falls quickly with the rain and snow melt. Sometimes it is a gently babbling brook, other times a thundering waterfall from the water running off the mountain behind us. No one lives within sight, although you can just glimpse our cabin and clear dome through the woods. This is a peaceful boondocking only site. There is both shade and direct sun for solar. Wander down the forest path leading from camp site down to the bridge, where you can sit by the water or cross the bridge and explore along the path along its banks to the natural pool in the woods. Across the road is our neighbors pasture with a changing cast of animals, including donkeys, horses, sheep, and pigs. You can find almost any animal native to an eastern forest here, the deer, turkeys, porcupines, painted and snapping turtles, beaver, ducks, herons, hawks are regulars. We occasionally hear owls and Coyotes, but haven't seen them ourselves. In the spring, Black Nosed Dace fish spawn in the brook, where hundreds (thousands?) of fish make the trip to the wetlands above us. There are Bear and Moose in the area, but we haven't seen them personally.

Camping by the river!

We really enjoyed Brad’s site, it was so relaxing. It was definitely worth the drive from Mass. He met us at the campsite and told us what was around. Brad was excellent! I would definitely recommend taking some time to check this spot out!

Slice of heaven in New Hampshire

This is definitely one of my favorite places we have stayed. The subtle brook flowing by the campsite gave us the soundtrack we needed. Great walks around the area, and not far from the downtown area of Wolfborough. We absolutely loved our time and would come back again!

Brookside Campsite

Very private and beautiful site. The site sits on a large, level, well maintained yet wild brookside area which is tucked away a couple miles down a wooded dirt road. Brad came down to greet us and it was reassuring to know they were nearby and reachable but we felt completely secluded. We had a visit from a blue heron while we relaxed by the fire. I would definitely go back if in the area.

Brad was an excellent host who was extremely welcoming and has a beautiful spot of land. The brook was delightful and the bench and fire pit were extra bonuses!

Calm and Peaceful

Brad was incredibly helpful and kind to talk to. He greeted us directly at the site and showed us around. The site is right on the edge of a beautiful creek and the fire pit/seating area is a wonderful spot to unwind after a day of activities. I absolutely recommend this location for anyone looking for a remote and calming spot to camp out or RV. Thank you again for everything Brad!
