Enjoy the peace and privacy of our small farm surrounded by lush forests in the heart of Surry, Maine. Wander out a few miles and find local hiking trails, beaches, and coastal Maine culture.
It's about a 40-min drive (24 miles) from our farm to Acadia National Park and 10 mins to Blue Hill, where you'll find restaurants, Bucklyn Coffee (our fave!), and cute shops and galleries.
There are ample opportunities for birdwatching, stargazing, and wildlife viewing right on the farm or at any of the land trust locations nearby (ask Lauren for local hiking recommendations).
We're 6 miles from Surry Beach, a lovely pebble beach with a portable toilet, dumpster, and doggie poop station in the parking area. Surry Store is right down the street and has basic groceries, ice, and tasty food. Also close by is Pugnuts homemade ice cream and gelato, located a short walk from a boat launch area with more portable toilets.
Tag us on IG @northenlightsfarmsUpdate: We've added a toilet! Northen Lights Farms is a licensed medical cannabis farm. We may have flowering plants on-site during your stay. Please make sure you're comfortable with that before booking. We're a working farm with gardens for mixed vegetables, herbs, and medicinal plants. We have chickens, a rooster, and three dogs. We have multiple construction projects going at any given time, so you can expect a genuine farm experience! However, we will respect your privacy.

Perfect location. Lauren was so welcoming and made time to connect with us. Road in is pretty rough but we took it slow with our trailer.

Peaceful and Beautiful land!

We had such a wonderful experience on Lauren and Jason’s land! Very spacious and private with everything you need! We enjoyed staying a bit away from Acadia as it gave us more access to explore the other cute towns and nature preserves that are less crowed! Lauren has so many recommendations to share and was super responsive. Falling asleep under the most amazing sky of stars was a plus, would love to come back someday 🥰

We loved camping on Jason and Lauren’s land! They were eager to give us great local recommendations so we could avoid the buzz of Acadia. We got to see a different side of Maine this week due to their awesome recs.
Jason stopped by several times and we got to chatting! We also got to meet Lauren. It was so nice to have a friendly hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The area was beautiful to wake up to. The hosts are super nice and accommodating. We were warned about porcupines since we brought our dog, but thankfully didn't see any. We would definitely recommend this neat spot!
