There are many stories about Shot Over Holler, from nudists to Sasquatch, from the old moonshine oven that still sits on the creek bank, and the hand dug well that has been in operation for over 100 years. But with 30 acres at your disposal, you can help create new stories and legends. Appalachian Mountain Magic is real in these woods, Cairns built by travelers to help you find your path, Bigfoot fences made for trespassers, and wild foods a plenty. Fortunately no banjo music plays in the background. Open fields for camping and play, wooded hills for hiking and exploring, and a clean, refreshing creek to stomp about in. Shot Over Holler is a place of wonder, muskrats and minks scurry through the bushes, deer graze and slumber in the overgrowth, while wolves' howls echo through the holler. Quiet and isolated from modern society, you can lay out in the open to watch bats, or a cityscape of fireflies, and even awe at the clear view of the heavens.
