My family and I built up this peice of property in the summer of 2016, we purchased it as land only and have done everything you will find here today! My husband and I built the barn and all structures! The house was the last thing to get finished, we moved in March of 2020. We raise Cattle and Bernedoodle dogs. And also enjoy training horses and competing with the Mustang Heritage Foundation. If you walk around you will see many American Mustangs! We hope you enjoy the fantastic views and the peaceful surroundings as we do!! This authentic sheep wagon is located on our ranch near Nunn, CO. We have cattle, horses and chickens and the wagon is neatly nestled near our large garden. The sheep wagon has a new pillow top ( full size ) mattress, electricity, luxurious linens, extra pillows/ blankets and hand/face towels. It also come with a coffee pot, coffee/fixings, and 2 mugs. For the cool Colorado nights and warm days, it has an electric heater and a fan. The toilet and laundry sink with hot and cold water are located in the barn, a short walking distance away. The bathroom also has a mini-fridge and electricity.
Back over by the wagon, there is also a nice picnic table and 2 chairs located outside. During the warmer month there is also a shade attached to the wagon for your lounging comfort. A fire ring is nearby, small campfires are ok as long as we don't have a fire ban in effect. We include the firewood.
Keep in mind this is an authentic piece of American West history and is not perfectly sealed from the elements, but it will absolutely keep you dry and comfortable. !
Nunn is located 30 minutes Northeast of Fort Collins, and is considered a prairie landscape, even though mountains are a short driving distance away. Living on the prairie comes with its challenges - mostly with its strong winds that we can get on occasion. Please keep this in mind.
You're welcome to walk around the ranch and view the animals, we ask that you DO NOT enter the corrals. If you happen to be here in the spring, this is when you will find new calfs! Oh so fun!!
We have some outstanding sunsets, lots of open space and plenty of fresh air. We also have fantastic mountain views to the west. Also, please keep in mind we are 4 miles on a county-maintained dirt road from the nearest paved road.
There are many things to do in this area, just to mention a few - Lory State Park, Horsetooth Reservoir, Pawnee National Grasslands - specifically the Pawnee Buttes, Also great restaurants/brewery's in Wellington as well as many choices in Old Town Fort Collins - as well as many shops and boutiques.
