My husband and I loved staying at Anita’s camper! It’s located at the end of a long driveway, near the house but far enough away to be private.
From the outside, fairy lights made the entrance identifiable and cozy. Inside, the camper was comfortable and filled with thoughtful details, like a firm king size bed and blackout curtains. It also came standard with a stove, shower, and composting toilet, all of which worked without any problems while we were there.
The property is minutes away from downtown Murphy’s, which is filled with restaurants, tasting rooms, and locally owned shops. If you like wine tasting, there’s plenty of great wineries (Lavender Ridge was our favorite), and we got coffee every morning at Gold Country Roasters. And definitely make time for the natural bridges trail— you can literally swim through a cave!
We loved exploring the area, but our favorite part of the trip was settling down in the camper at night. It was so easy to see the stars and simply admire the natural beauty of the property.
One of the highlights of the trip was our tour of Anita’s house, ie the Gathering Space. It’s an additional fee, but worth it. The house is an architectural marvel, and Anita’s a designer/collector, so the home is full to bursting with art and one of a kind pieces. It was also really interesting to learn about the history of the property and Anita’s vision for the future.
This camper is a one-of-a-kind find in a lovely town, and we’ll definitely be back!
