NOTE: From mid-October through mid-April, only the A Frame site is available. Our tents are seasonal for the warmer months :) Soak in a cedar hot tub and Renu cold plunge nestled in an oak grove, then sleep in our A Frame or one of our two luxurious yurt-like tents. Venture into the clearing with open skies for truly amazing starry views at night. It's a peaceful retreat surrounded by pines and oaks, yet is still less than 15 minutes from the historic Gold Mining towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley. A composting toilet is housed in a beautiful, well maintained outhouse and a heated outdoor shower is located next to the hot tub and cold plunge. These as well as the hot tub/cold plunge area are shared between our two sites. PLEASE NOTE: While many guests have found each spot to feel private, it's important to mention that these are located in a large clearing behind our house. You'll have ample space and privacy, with the added convenience of having someone nearby if you need anything. Distance to local attractions: Nevada City (11 minutes) Grass Valley (14 minutes) Yuba River (25 minutes) Scott’s Flat Lake (10 minutes) Cascade Canal Hiking (3 minutes) Hoot’s Trail epic mountain biking (17 minutes)

Awesome little spot! We stayed in the A-frame which was super cozy and comfortable. The cabin has pretty much anything you could need and Ellie and Jack were quick to respond to any questions we had. We didn’t give the cold plunge a try but the hot tub was delightful in the evenings. Would come back again!

Great little cabin, just far enough from town, but close enough for drinks and food if needed. The hot tub is great, we stayed in the A frame cabin outside of their yurt season, so we did not have to share the hot tub with anyone.

The hosts were incredibly friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The property is beautiful, it's great for just relaxing in the hot tub under the stars and also conveniently located for exploring Nevada City and the many hikes nearby!

This is a very special property, and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Make sure to take advantage of the hot tub/cold plunge. Close to town, but just far enough out. A-frame is very cozy, and small, but just big enough to make it a romantic dance. Loved the wood burning stove, and robes!

We loved the A-frame and found it to be such a charming, refreshing weekend getaway. Ellie and Jack were wonderful hosts and were extremely accommodating and kind. The property is quiet and beautiful—we felt there was lots of privacy but were close enough to town that it was easy to go do things. The cabin itself is really well designed and they thought about so many details which made our stay easy and comfortable. We hope to be back!

Delightful!
We made last-min change of plans due to the atmospheric river and avoiding snow, and Ellie & Jack were so accommodating! Perhaps it was the pouring rain lol, but we struggled to locate the A frame behind the house in the dark (despite the instructions & lanterns provided by E&J), so recommend arriving before nightfall if possible. We used the unit's camping stove & fridge & mini fireplace (so cozy!), and soaked in the hot tub. We even had a lovely view of the Orion constellation thru the A frame window when the clouds broke on Sat eve! Even the composting toilet was a delightful experience. Highly recommend!
