As you enter into our little oasis, you'll see why we want to share the space. It is a great environment to get away from the city or pass through on your road trip. The driveway enters down to our creek-side camping where a hammock under a tree awaits a quiet reader or a bird watcher. We have multiple species of song birds. It's just a 30 minute drive to the beach, or mountains, a short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with a playground, or a five minute drive to a local ecological reserve containing multiple trails. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. In addition, we have a propane-powered fire pit, an outdoor kitchen with full amenities, including, hot water, a two burner stove, a toaster oven and a BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the worlds largest honey producer. Today there are just a few bees in the area.

Overall my family and I had a good experience, but we were misled by the shade. The summary said it was shaded all day, and that was not the case, it was blasted by sun 90% of the day. Which isn’t normally an issue, if we’d known we’d taken our canopy for shade. But because the summary said it was fully shaded we didn’t take it and were fully exposed. Laura did let us borrow her easy-up, but she then left and the easy up didn’t have a tarp on it, so we were in the same boat. I messaged her about it (along with another question) and never got a reply. I understand it was a Saturday night but it was a little annoying to not get a reply from her at all. We ended up wandering down to the bottom near the creek where there was shade and that was fine and we really enjoyed our time there, just not at our campsite. I think it’s a lovely place to stay, the summary just needs to be updated so guests can be properly prepared.

Creekside Campsite
We stayed two nights with our kids (age 5 & 2) and honestly it was perfect. Exactly the first family camping trip we needed to test the waters a bit. Having a bathroom, shower and all the kitchen stuff we needed made life so easy. The frogs are very loud but we enjoyed all parts of the adventure! There’s a playground walking distance and the area all together is very beautiful.

Waterfall Campsite
We loved every day of our week tent camping at Laura's lovely place! The lush nature at the babbling creek, the deafening croaking of the frogs in the evening sort of make you relax instantaneously. Add the lovingly fitted out and kept amenities and Laura's friendly and welcoming nature and you'll have a perfect time.

Hawks Nest Campsite
Laura’s Canyon Creek property is well suited for short and longer term campers and offers a full service bathroom and outdoor kitchen that are very accommodating for those that travel light or don’t have the typical camping supplies. Although wood fires are not allowed, her propane pits are warm and inviting. The frogs at night and birds in the morning muffle the neighborhood sounds and make you feel immersed in nature when you are so close to town. Laura was a wonderful host and shared some really cool stories about the property and how it came to be. I’ll be back and highly recommend it.

What a wonderful treat! I needed a place to stay last minute tires had wifi for work.. the cabin was clean and cute.. so many windows to enjoy the trees. I didn’t use the kitchen, but what a nice space and assorted seating areas.. i loved the frogs at night. The bathroom was nicer than expected and what a bonus.
