Rancho Capotista is perfectly located in the desert of the coachella valley. Close to Palm Springs, Joshua Tree and the wonderful spas of Desert Hot Springs. Surrounded by conservation land, there are a lot of hiking and biking trails just across the road. The local Joshua Tree KOA is also right across the way so we get a lot of their over flow. The campsite was a very interesting place. I loved it. I would definitely stay again for the price and the location to Coachella/Joshua Tree. The host, Lori, was helpful and very responsive to any questions we had. She has two turkeys on site. Thomas and his girlfriend Mona Lisa! Mona Lisa stayed to herself. Thomas was very curious and would come up to us. Very friendly. I camped here for Coachella and felt safe leaving my valuables at camp. Thanks again, Lori!

Had a great time out here. Lori was a very helpful and kind host. She was very responsive with answering any questions I had. It was interesting to find that she had 2 rescued turkeys. They were also very friendly! Would recommend 👌
