Conveniently located a couple minutes from town to get some groceries or even fast food and gas. Also minutes from the large lake of New Hogan if your brining a jet ski or boat. Come relax on this 10 acres of private water access. Fish till your heart is content. Please catch and release. We have a variety of fish: Bass, Blue Gill, Cat fish and even some big Carp. Use our row boat or bring your own kayak, SUP, canoe etc. Newly added large floating dock, sand beach and large swing set/ hammock polls. Come play and have fun and listen to the sounds of frogs at night and the birds in the morning.

really enjoyed james’ spot. thankfully i was the only person on the property…i’m kind of a loner when camping & really love secluded sites. james called in advance to check in with me & give me a heads up on some things at his property he had made available. overall…it was exactly what you hope for from a hipcamp property. i’ll come back to fish as i bet it was great fishing…but my 3 french bulldogs weren’t having the downtime. LOL

Happy camping

It’s my 2nd time came back here. We enjoyed rowing the boat with a quiet camping. My large dog suddenly jumped into the water when the boat was close to the other end of the lake. Glad nothing happened. The weather was a lot better this time.

Camping with your own fishing lake!

The stay was great! We all had a good time. Caught some nice size bass in the pond. Recommended that you go during cooler weather. James was a great host and responsive. Totally recommend this place. It was nice being close to town which was awesome and helpful. We did go and check out The Sweet Shoppe in town which is amazing.

It was really nice super spacious and the water was amazing! The other small feature that was great was the strip of fake grass they laid out nice to walk around with no shoes on. Only thing is depending on the time of year there was a bunch of small bugs no mosquitoes so bring bug spray and citronella candles

This is a really beautiful campsite, right on the water! There's so much wildlife, with different types of birds all around. The campsite is very quiet and peaceful, and you can hang out on the dock, take the canoe out on the water, or go swimming. Sunset was gorgeous, and you have an amazing views of the tall grass around you and the hills in the backdrop. I highly recommend staying here!

Lovely pond

I had a good time to row the boat. My dogs played in the water. People live at distance, but no one was nearby. Lots of birds fly around there and it is pretty relaxing. It was 99F. I will go again when it is cooler. The instruction of driving direction and hope to open the gate is very clear.
