When we moved to the Sierra Foothills, we found this cozy, little spot on the property and we set up a campsite for friends and family. People loved the space so much that we decided to build this cozy cabin and host other guests as well... The hot tub can be filled with fresh water and be heated by wood and/or be filled using the on demand hot water heater. The private outdoor shower is in a beautiful garden setting.Our furnished cozy cabin is in a private meadow/garden setting. During the fire season you fill the hot tub from the on demand hot water heater. In the Winter you can heat it with wood. The private outdoor shower is surrounded by sweet sage., The sitting area also has a seasonal use fire pit. We provide toiletries as well as towels and super soft bathrobes. The outdoor kitchen has all you need to cook a meal and serve. A short walk will bring you to the outhouse.

Campfires allowed

Firewood provided, firepit, private. During the fire season we provide a propane hot water heater for the hot tub. The rest of the year you can heat with either source. We provide the firewood and the propane.

Toilet available

Pit toilet. We built you a cute little outhouse just far enough away...

Pets allowed

Off leash, on leash. This campsite is located on a large property where other dogs run off leash. The site is not completely fenced to keep dogs in or out.

Potable water available

Spigot, tap, hose. Our water is from a 1,200 foot deep well and is absolutely delicious to drink! Bring bottles to fill.

Showers available

Hot water . A beautiful outdoor shower in a private, garden setting. The on demand heater provides and endless stream of hot water.

Cooking equipment present

Private, stovetop or hot plate, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. The campsite has an outdoor kitchen with a large sink and modest counter space.

Your host, Malaina, will be happy to wash your items if needed... just ask!

Hot Tub present

Wood fired in the cool season... filled with fresh mountain water after each guest. During the fire season you fill it from the on demand hot water heater.

Peaceful Nature Retreat

Our stay at Joyful Heart was wonderful!! Malaina was an excellent host and provided all the necessities we needed on our trip. It was set in a beautiful location out in nature. Would recommend to others. Thanks again Malaina for a tranquil stay!

Perfect Getaway

What a beautiful corner Malania has made. Me and my boyfriend had a great time! Very close to Sonora and amazing restaurants and fun bars :) Kitchen has everything you would need! The tub is so much fun. Didn’t expect the instant hot water available! The outdoor shower at night was so relaxing. I will definitely be back!

The cabin at Joyful Heart is absolutely magical! We loved staying here (this was our second time) and would love to return. Relaxing in the tub under the stars, enjoying crisp mornings full of birdsong, and having a cozy launching point for nearby hikes in Jamestown as well as for visiting Yosemite for a day -- it's a very dreamy place. In the winter, the cabin warms up nicely with the provided heater, and having hot water for bathing makes the chillier nights really lovely.

The cozy cabin was a wonderful place to stay for a romantic getaway. Very private and has plenty of cooking equipment and little things to add to the enjoyment of your stay, like a hot shower, hot tub, towels, robes and lights. The bed is comfortable, the cabin stays nice and warm with a heater. Outside there is a firepit, camping stove, bbq and sink with running water. We had an awesome time and would recommend this place as a getaway for couples any season.

Malaina was very kind and communicative regarding directions to the place, and gave amazing recommendations for sight seeing and hikes in the area. Our stay was so pleasant and cozy. The outdoor kitchen/sink setup was so great. It felt calming to get out of the city and stay here.

I had a lovely weekend at Malaina’s property. The hot tub was so fun and relaxing, and the bed was cozy and warm! We got to enjoy making breakfast in the outdoor kitchen and appreciated having coffee to enjoy. This place was perfect for getting to enjoy the great outdoors while being comfortable and cozy.
