Okay for an overnight
I knew we would be parking by the road instead of by the creek since the host said that wasn’t ready. All that was good since we would not have been able to get down to the creek in our motorhome. Fortunately there wasn’t much traffic and we were able to sleep. But she said there would be no charge since we were up by the road, not the campsite but my credit card was charged anyway. I tried communicating with her a couple of times and have gotten no response.

Great spot to camp! Possible to drive down there with a 4x4! A little tricky to find the path down at night (we arrived late) when the grass is full grown.

Dissapointing and dangerous
As a first time hicamper, this was dissapointing. I only wanted a spot, just like the listing, to camp overnight in my vehicle. The spot was inaccesible via an extremely muddy hill; my car got stuck upon testing it's durability. AAA was called and I finally got out hours later. The host should not have this spot available if it is inaccessible. Furthermore, after I messenged her (and called without response) about getting stuck, she did not apologize/sympathize and only offered me to sleep on the top part of her property right beside the road. I was blamed that I did not "notice the condition of the road post the rain". No responsibility taken by the owner. Long story short, I do not reccomended this campsite during rainfall. The host was not nice, but did have fast communication and agreed to issue a refund.

Staying here was fine, I got exactly what I thought, but it would have been nice to meet the hosts, as I was staying there by myself. And even though I knew what to anticipate, the land is really only a place to pitch a tent and that’s it. I think it’s a little pricey for that, despite it being close to Redding….it just seemed pretty hands off and that kind of turned me off to it a bit.

Simple site, great stay.
We simply wanted a clean, flat, safe area to pop a tent while we explored the Redding area. That’s exactly what we got. Would definitely use this site again, especially after the owner said they will be making improvements to the site.

It was ok
Anamarie was very responsive and gave great directions and pictures to find the camping area. The area was nice and dark, no light pollution. There was considerable noise from the road until about midnight and again at about 530 am, as the site isn't very far from a moderately busy road. The ground was fairly level, but rather bumpy. With nothing to offer but a place to lay your tent, $30 seems a bit much. $15-$20 seems more reasonable.
