Camping at Nicholas's site offers a mixed experience with many highlighting his hospitality and the beautiful desert setting. While some campers praise the spaciousness and stunning views, others encountered issues with cleanliness and unexpected events, like music festivals clashing with quiet camping expectations. Nicholas is frequently mentioned as a responsive and helpful host, but there are concerns about crowdedness and occasional unprofessional behavior. The site is noted for its remote desert charm, though the presence of trash and an outdated porta potty are downsides.

Inactive site/camp at your own risk
Tent
Deserted/Inactive campsite. Trash everywhere. Old porta potty with a hole in the floor of the toilet. Looks nothing like the fun photos you see online. Camp at your own risk but do not recommend. If I thought I could get a refund, I would

We were notified by the host that we were double booked with a music festival after we had arrived to the vicinity and after had been in touch with the host from the day before, so that was a bit of an unwelcome surprise. We tried to make the most of it but ended up not staying the night as it wasn’t really a camping friendly atmosphere as we had been expecting.

Desert Camping Done Right ✅
Tent · Group trip
We had such a good experience despite the crazy winds! Nicholas was such a cool host. Half the group got lost but he managed to maneuver us to the exact camping spot AT NIGHT.
He had dope af music playing most of the night with the tiki lights on.
We had such a good time we’re already planning on the next trip back to the same spot.
Grateful for Nicholas and this location.

This was my first time taking the family dry camping. My family and friends had a great time exploring the property. The trip was made even better with Nick being an awesome host. He made sure to keep us updated with the forecast and even though the winds picked up he gave us a lot of suggestions to help us deal with the weather conditions. We'll definitely be coming back.

Wide open space to make your own!
Group trip
I had an amazing stay on Nicholas’ land! He was a great host, super helpful with check in and then just let us roam around the desert doing our own thing. It was great to have so much space to ourselves. Nicholas is extremely knowledgeable about the area and was a very accommodating host.
I will be coming back for years to come. Couldn’t have asked for a better space!
Have a good one Nicholas! Wish you all the best.
