Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
We found our happy place and want to share it on HipCamp. Blue Belly Cabin is a contactless cabin on 12 acres of land that sleeps 4 comfortably. 1 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and great room with sleeper sofa. There are fabulous sunrises, sunsets and panoramic mountain views for you to enjoy. It snows sometimes at our cabin but usually stays only a day. Many campers come to our cabin to work while simultaneously enjoying nature right outside the cabin. For the hot days we have a swamp cooler and portable A/C unit so you stay comfortable. For the cold days we have a wood burning stove that heats the big room and keeps you toasty and portable electric heaters for the bedroom and bathroom. We have a heated mattress pad on the bed and an electric blanket for the sleeper sofa and extra comforters. There is a propane fire pit and propane bbq outside for you to enjoy. Blue Belly Cabin is a huge slice of peace. There's a large area outside the cabin where you can pitch tent(s) for more people. Nearby, there are premier fishing spots, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, waterfalls, national forests, trails to hike, 6 wineries and much more.  We are 35 mins from Lassen National Park, 45 mins from Shasta Lake and dam. MacCumber reservoir is 25 mins away. We are 30 mins east of Redbluff and the nearest small town with gas stations, grocery and hardware stores is 17 mins away.Blue Belly Cabin is a contactless cabin on 12 acres of land that sleeps 4 comfortably. 1 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and great room with sleeper sofa. Mixed feelings
· July 2024
It seems like this location is more for a winter stay; there were a lot of electric blankets in the space. There were a lot of old spider webs and dead spiders in the space. It just seemed strange to me, as someone must live here, as there are live plants inside that are thriving and frozen pizzas in the freezer. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have cleaned all the webs and the counter space off. Overall, we didn't feel comfortable and ended up only staying one of the two nights we booked.

Had a great stay
With kids
Our little family of 3 had a great stay at this cute cabin. It’s tidy and neat that has all the essentials you needed for your stay. It’s a great location if you visit Lassen and surrounding areas. It gives you a peaceful place to rest and recharge. Eliah and her husband are very helpful and supportive during our stay. Would highly recommend this cabin for anyone with a toddler. Thank you :)

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! We had a wonderful time! My children are entering those hard to entertain teen years but there were plenty of games for us to play as a family. They once again asked "When can we visit the cabin again?"

Cozy cabin good for family
With kids
Review We were trying to find a place for visiting the Lassen National Park with our two-year-old toddler on the July 4th weekend and this place made our whole trip wonderful! Eliah was very welcoming and helped us to settle in with AC on under the hot weather. The living room was spacious and a fully functioning kitchen with all the cookware and utensils you need. The bathroom had towels and toothpaste and even floss, all the basics you need. The bedroom was comfortable that could fit a pack and play and also had a few fans around to keep you cool after the sunset. The nearest grocery store and gas station was a roughly 20 min drive away but the shop was quite basic and the pizza place there wasn’t too attractive. With Eliah and her husband’s help, we could turn on the barbecue grill and enjoyed our food with the beautiful sunset and starry nights after dark. Overall it was a really cozy, relaxing and enjoyable stay.
