Dumping any sewage or grey water is Prohibited by Law, $500 fine. Free-range chickens closer to the house. Run dogs on the back 10 if they are overly curious or chasing chickens. Quiet Generator, 60 decibels or less. No Loud Gens allowed for more than 2 hours, off by 9PM on at 7AM. LOCAL PLACES 22 miles to Kurt Gowdy State Park where you can rent a kayak or go for a hike to the Hidden Falls, Vedauwoo (Vee dah voo) hiking trails. Check out the Bunk House Bar and Grill for a great food with a western experience. 7 miles to Wyoming State Capital and the yummy Rib and Chop House, in the heart of downtown, Cheyenne 3 miles to gas, 5 miles to Groceries and fast food 2.5 to The Little Bear / The Brand Bar - the back of the Steak House. Local Beef n beer, great food! WINTER CAMPING: ASK/Message about the Indoor shower at the Guest House ($5 bucks, includes towels and soaps or bring your own $3 bucks). We also rent rooms in our Guest House, Horsebox Renovation and Guest House Lodging (Hostel Style). JMA Campground is located about 15 minutes west of Riverton, Wyoming. Outstanding views of the Wind River Mountain Range and the Owl Creek Mountain Range. We do not have trees or green grass - bring your own shade. LOL We have 30 and 50 amp RV sites (each site has water) along with primitive tent sites. Amenities at the park include WiFi, fire pits, firewood, shower and restroom facilities, picnic areas, trash services and a RV dump station available for $10. Visitors can take advantage of the various outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, biking and stargazing. Our campers enjoy our quiet solitude - we're not located along a busy noisy highway! Jim and I established our place in 1983. We produced team ropings and barrel racing jackpots for nearly 40 years - we no longer produce rodeo events (due to health). In 2017, we decided to share our property with campers - we have cherished each and every moment - we have made so many friends! From the JMA Campground, it is 50 miles to Thermopolis (hot springs, whitewater rafting, fishing, buffalo, dinosaur museum, etc.); 60 miles to the National Military Museum in Dubois; 130 miles to the South Entrance of Grand Teton National Park; 45 miles to Lander; 70 miles to South Pass City - many other local attractions.

Cloud Peak Llamas was established in 1987 and is known as one of North Americas Llama Pioneers. They continue to raise quality llamas for fiber, packing and disposition. We started as the first llama packer in the state of Wyoming and now we welcome campers to come and spend the night with us. While you are here, shop in the wool room where we carry luxurious alpaca and llama fiber and all kinds of llama gifts. Relax and enjoy the firepit. We are a working ranch and do not provide any hookups such as water, electricity or sewer. That would change the experience you get while staying on the ranch. RV's are welcome to use their generators. Water is available for drinking and to fill up your tank. We also have a Powder Room (toilet) for all our guests. We have two dog runs available. Your dogs need a rest while traveling so feel free to let them off leash in the dog run. We have a lot of open room so we will help you park in the pasture where you will be surrounded by the animals. We have a short dirt road leading into the ranch. If you love animals and want a ranch experience this is a campsite for you? There is not another camping experience like this. You will love it!! Each year, we are voted one of the best campsites in the state .

We are bordering the Shoshone National Forrest with amazing views. Our sites are as close to federal land as you can get, with electric and water hook ups. Each spot is on grass, and near our rental shop for UTV rentals and small general store. Gasoline sold nearby.

Little Ponderosa RV Camp

This property belonged to my grandparents. My grandpa and grandma ran cattle and sheep on the land and put up hay. They raised my dad and his two brothers on the place. My dad and mom built a house just West of the property, where I grew up, walking over the hill to visit Grandpa and Grandma. They sold the ranch when I was 10 years old. The place was sold 3 times before I was able to buy it back in 2021. The purchase included an RV campsite. My wife Lindsey and I thought, what a great way to meet people and share a little piece of our amazing Wyoming. There is nothing better in the world than waking up early in Rural Wyoming! Learn more about this land: Open views of hay meadows, cattle, sheep and sagebrush. The area around the campsite is an open field with easy interstate access. There are neighbors within view and our home is approximately 1/4 mile away from the two RV camping spots. We have kids, horses, sheep, dogs, cats and rabbits. There are also antelope and deer. We do offer electrical, septic and water hookups at both locations. Both sites are immediately adjacent to one another. Just a short drive from Douglas, Wyoming and Natural Bridge State Park.
