They might peck slightly when trying to eat though. The 2 roosters do protect their hens. Park vehicle in the blue highlighted area as to not have vehicle traffic in the grassed areas down the tree rows. Also, to not have someone accidentally run over a small tree. Please watch out for pink flags. Those markers are for smaller trees so they are easy to spot and not broken down by stepping on them. You are more than welcome to drive along the right side of the property just past the blue area to the back pasture area if you need to for unloading gear for the back wooded tent sites. Herb met and accommodated many wonderful guests and had a blast doing it. Star gazing from the Little Cabin or Gazebo is amazing. There is no light pollution which allows a view of the stars some have never seen.

The National Park is 20 minutes away, the Town of Jackson is about 8 miles away, Teton Pass is just up the road. Right now the Elk are bugling in the field right across from us. It depends on which gate you enter. The southern gate through the Tetons is about a three-hour drive, whereas the eastern gate is about a 3 hour and 45-minute drive. Keep in mind this is just the distance to the gates. Yellowstone is a massive park and it can take time to drive from the gates to the geysers, not to mention wildlife traffic delays. -Are there bears in the RV park? No, there are no bears in our RV Park. We have visiting deer and occasional beavers but no bears. There are bears however in the surrounding mountains, especially in the higher elevations. -Cell Service? There is actually a Verizon tower in town. Most sizable towns you pass will have cell service, but expect that service to drop once you leave. Wyoming is beautiful, put your phone to the side and enjoy our scenery, our eateries and our wildlife! -I heard a loud siren! Lander has a volunteer fire department. The siren you hear is the fire whistle calling out our fire department. -Can your park fit my rig? Motor homes are getting bigger and bigger every year. Our park has 50 foot and 70-foot pull-throughs. Nearly all of our pull-through sites have trees. Our best view sites are 60 foot back in/pull in and they do not have trees. We do have one 80 foot back in site as well. -When does your park close? Our park is actually open year-round and the managers live onsite to assist our guests needs. While the park is always open, the office is closed occasionally on some holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, ect. We close the office when we take our short vacations during the winter. -How far are you from town? We are located on a small hill that overlooks Lander City and Lander valley. It is a 3 -5 minute drive into town, or a 20 minute walk. -What time is check in/check out? Check in begins at 2 pm. Check out is at 11:00 am. You can request a late check out time of 12:30 pm which we will do our best to accommodate. -Do you allow pets? Yes we do allow pets. We understand your furry friends are family members so why leave them behind on your exciting adventure? All pets must remain under your supervision and on a leash/fenced in at all times. Lander is a beautiful town with lots of wildlife and these rules are for your dear pet's safety.

We are 5 miles east from the Moran Entrance of Grand Teton National Park. Teton park is 310,000 acres, substantially smaller than Yellowstone, and is famous for fantastic mountain scenery and wildlife. The park extends about 40 miles north and south making all locations in this park easily accessible from our location. Jackson Lake is the largest Teton lake at almost 15 miles long and it is a natural lake that became much larger when it was dammed in the 1900s. The western shore ends at the base of the mountains and is only accessible by boat, but the eastern shore can be accessed from Signal Mountain and Colter Bay. Jackson Lake is popular for fishing, swimming, and boating. Colter Bay and Signal Mountain both have seasonally operated marinas with boat rentals. Jenny Lake is a glacial lake that is about 12,000 years old. There is a scenic 7.6 mile loop trail around the lake. There is a seasonally operated shuttle that will take you across for a scenic cruise and drop you close to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. Mormon Row, with its picturesque barns and historical buildings, is an essential stop, about 20 miles from our location, to take your own version of the classic Teton barn photo. Oxbow Bend, is a U-shaped bend in the Snake River where the water is calm and slow. When the weather is nice, there is a perfect reflection of Mount Moran. Our staff think this is one of the best sunrise locations in the Tetons. This is also a popular location for wildlife such as otters, moose, black bears, and even grizzly bears. Get in amongst the peaks with hiking trails such as Hermitage Point at Colter Bay, Taggart Lake, Phelps Lake, Two Oceans Lake Trail and many more. Hiking often offers more opportunities to see wildlife and get away from some of the crowds.
