Champlain Valley Alpacas and Beef is a family farm owned and operated by the Foshay family since 1998. Our girls, Gracie and Olivia are grown now. Gracie is married to Jaron and they live in Glendale,AZ . Olivia and her husband Guthrie own and operate American Window Cleaning II. Our herd of alpacas once was shown successfully in the Eastern States, now mostly range on the farm, having sweet cria (babies), growing magnificent fiber and effortlessly entertaining throngs of wedding guests! Our beef herd, comprised of Black and Red Angus, Hereford and Belted Galways has fluxuated as the market and hay supplies demand. We have a vineyard of Marquette grapes that are so delicious, that we have to race the birds for them in the fall. Our land is quiet, off the beaten path, and brimming with beautiful views of mountains, hills, valleys with winding creeks. This property has seen years of agriculture as a sheep farm, dairy farm and a fence company. We are happy to share this land and our gentle creatures with you. You have your choice of camping with your van or small RV, small trailer or tent, in a level, forested area (not lakeside) with picnic table and fire pit, or tenting lakeside with water views, picnic table and fire pit, or both! You have access to both, one reservation comes with both spots, so you can enjoy the lakeside regardless of where you sleep. Vehicles cannot reach the tent site, it is a steep trail about a 150 feet. Although our campsite is near the lake, you cannot drive to the water from the campsite. It is a steep, short hike down to the water. There is one canoe at the campsite you are free to use or bring your own canoes, kayaks and/ or paddle boards to enjoy the superb water. There are no motor boats on the lake, so the paddling and swimming is great. There are three private homes on the lake, adjacent to where your site it located so we ask that no loud partying, play music only quietly and no generators. There are no campers on either side of your campsite, we only offer one, campsite. There is a nice, clean outhouse and no other amenities (Tier D in HipCamp-speak). No on-site water but it can be obtained at our house, just ask. We have a dog on the property, who is friendly and off leash. If having a dog come visit would be a problem for you, please don't make a reservation. If you plan on bringing a dog please let us know. No more than two dogs allowed.

Perfect location if you plan on visiting surrounding cities, like Stowe. Camp site was well taken care of. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave several recommendations for activities and dining ahead of the visit for planning. All around really nice dude! Multiple showers/flushable toilets available. Dog friendly. Many guests but was very quiet, which was great. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner/welcoming...but it is camping and I'm always grateful just to have access to utilities. Over all, nice stay.

This spot was 10/10! As a solo female traveling with just her dog I felt completely safe here. Everyone else staying was very kind and Will was fantastic! The bathrooms were clean and it was in the perfect location to be able to drive through smugglers notch multiple times to get to Stowe! I would definitely stay here again!

Will was super welcoming, accommodating, and responsive. He gave us some great local recommendations for around the area. His campground had beautiful views and was the perfect location to explore Smuggler’s Notch. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. The campground was well taken care of. Would stay here again!

This is an incredible site! Having access to the lake is incredible and the views all around this area are awesome. Sites were well equipped with fire pits and tables, and the outhouse was clean and comfortable. Elisa’s directions were very accurate and easy to follow. She was very responsive and more than accommodating. Zero complaints, we had a great stay.

Tommie has a beautiful property tucked under the Lincoln Gap along the spine of Vermont’s Green Mountains. Tommie’s land was the perfect spot for our small group to stop over during a week long cycling trip around Northern Vermont. Beautiful views, swimming holes , and trails to explore. We felt very fortunate to have such a wonderful place to camp during at our trip. Thanks Tommie!

Private site alongside the creek with a fire ring. We saw a few bears at night so stay vigilant and keep your food in your car! We loved hiking on the adjacent land trust and star gazing. Tommie is a great host.

This campsite was Great! My daughter and I stayed at the second site by the water and left our vehicle up at the first site. We got to go out exploring and fishing with the canoe, great weather, nice privacy, and still around 20 mins to all the stores in Stowe if you need any supplies for food. I would recommend this site to anyone. My daughter and I would love to return again and plan a hike at the camels hump!

This is a lovely, quiet and private location! Very beautiful. The land is very steep/hilly so have your sneakers, and you’ll want to be at the lower site as the top site is very removed. You will have to do some hauling, so keep it simple. Elisa was generous and easy to work with. Green River Reservoir is a gem! Much to explore and great swimming.

Tommie’s place was absolutely amazing!!! Best HipCamp ever. Tommie was so kind and hospitable and gave us amazing recommendations for the area. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the star gazing was amazing, and the sound of the stream right next to our campsite was so relaxing. The location was great too - close to Lincoln gap, Warren, and Waitsfield, all with a beautiful scenic drive. We spent a ton of time at the swimming hole on the property too which was absolutely incredible. Don’t hesitate to book! We will certainly be back. THANK YOU for everything Tommie!

A perfect spot. Camped there with our 5 and 2 year old boys and puppy. It was nice and private but also easy to get to. We went out twice on the canoe and it was wonderful! Elisa was so nice.
