Access to potable water is available adjacent to camp, and public restrooms (vault toilets) are only a short walk from camp.WiFi access is available nearby at Kolob Adventure Rentals/Adventure Beach (3 minute walk). WiFi location and password provided by host upon request. This is an exclusive benefit available to our guests, and the only WiFi available to campers in the area.Canoe, kayak and SUP rentals, snacks and beverages are also located nearby. Not only do we have a beautiful Tiny Home, Writer's Nook, Glamp Tent, and the Barebones Tent, we offer our Mountain View site. Site 1 and 2 with power and a deck, site 3 with power access and gravel that is good for small trailers, vans, or RTT'ers who want power. We Also have our Mesa and Desert Camps sites located around the property that you can pull up and set a tent up in the field or pull up a van/RV/trailer/RTT and crash. Regardless of site you book, we will have space with views for everyone. The pictures are from around the property so book Mesa Camp 4-9 for up front closer to highway or Desert Camp 1-5 for outback away from the road. When you arrive, find your site number on the white (Mesa Camp - 1st and 2nd entrance) or teal (Desert Camp - 3rd entrance) brick and place it where you want to park, and that's it!

YES, We are dog friendly. PLEASE ADD YOUR 4 LEGGED FRIEND ON TO RESERVATION. We charge a $15 fee for doggies. This helps us clean up the campsite from dog wear and tear (hole digging, peeing on things, picking up doo doo, washing linens, etc).
We are woman owned and woman friendly and offer a safe space to gather with amazing folks! We have fun spaces for kids to play in too. Please monitor kids if they are on the climbing wall. NO KIDS ON THE ROOF OF THE PLAY AREA past the climbing walll!! They are climbing at their own risk. Also note there are nails and cactus and things around the property that could harm a child if not paying attention. Please ask your kids and wear proper footwear at all times.
We offer 3 water and power hook ups that are ideal for vans or small trailers.
WE DO NOT HAVE A SEPTIC DUMP on site but one close by that is free at Bee's market.
We have shade structures, a BBQ area, a propane firepit (no wood fires in summer please! too dry).
Great restaurant and food options nearby. No need to bring anything. Grocery store down the street with everything. Fresh local veggies, fruits, eggs and more in season. Saturday market seasonally also nearby.
We have a hot tub!!!! $5 per use per person. MUST RESERVE THERE IS A BOARD AT THE TUB TO WRITE NAME ON. 30 minutes please so that others have a chance to tub too!
Propane is a $5 per use additional fee daily if you want to use the gas firepit or the BBQ. Hot tub is $5 per person per use.
We purchased the property from a family down the road and they have helped us develop out the piece we have. Currently we park a trailer on it that we rent out, plus we have 1 glamp tent, 1 little cabin, 1 camping platform and a few areas for tents and vanlifers to pull up! We have a group site with it's own kitchen/BBQ area.
There's a bath house with 2 flushing toilets an outhouse and an outdoor heated shower. We also have a great outdoor kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal! Stove, pots and pans, dishes, etc!

Basically you get the quiet and dark skies at night, which are perfect for camping, but creature comforts of a bathroom, outdoor shower, Wifi, firepits and BBQ. We have cool art, outdoor games, an outdoor kitchen with stove and all the cooking utensils and pots and accessories you need! Hot water is really hot! We have 2 kitchens!!
Land Beyond Zion is available for group rentals and great if you are trying to plan a camp out with numerous people, but struggling to find a campground that will accommodate.
We are not an RV park but can accommodate some smaller rigs, so reach out to us if you are interested in staying. We have room for a skoolie if it's the right size! Up to 24-26 feet vans and skoolies. Inquire if your rig is bigger.
DOG OWNERS THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!
If you have a dog we ask that you please keep it leashed and near you at all times. If there are other dogs on the property you will need to leash up dogs. Also, please walk the property and pick up poop!!! We ask for a fee for dogs. This can be found in EXTRAS or pay on site.
Please respect that we increase prices for more people in your group as this has impact on our space. We allow 2 per site and then additional fee for up to 2 more people. We only have so many showers, bathrooms and space for all and we like to not get super crowded. Children are the exception, but please let us know how many folks are in your group when you reserve. Our latest addition! A "cowboy cabin" is a simple cabin somewhere between camping and a hotel room. Ours has electricity, heat and AC, a bunk bed that can sleep 3, mini fridge, microwave and wall mounted TV. Like most cowboy cabins, it does not have its own plumbing, but our famously clean private restrooms with showers are just a 50ft walk.
This is the perfect get a way to hold your next family reunion or special event! We welcome events on property and for a small fee can rent out our community spaces while you are a guest here.

The Kolob Terrace is home to one of the most popular canyons in Zion: the Left Fork of North Creek, aka. "the Subway."

Brief history of Camp Joy:
Camp Joy is a small parcel of land given to my grandmother and her sisters by my paternal great grandfather. It was part of a larger, 2,500 acre parcel that has been used for grazing sheep the last 100 or so years. As was common in those days, the male heir inherited the larger portion to continue the family business of sheep, and the three females inherited 1 acre each. My paternal grandmother fondly recalls spending her summers exploring the flora and fauna and staying overnight in a small cabin that they called “Camp Joy.” My father, also used to visit this area during his youth and has many fond memories of when the family would “Hie to Kolob.” My grandmother, being too old to enjoy the place herself, wanted to sell her portion to someone who would be able to enjoy it in this life. She didn’t believe in restricting access to the wonderful and uniquely awe inducing land surrounding Zion National park. She knew humans are just mere stewards , temporarily living off the land that Mother Nature has so generously provided for. My father and mother also shared this vision so (with his sisters/cousins permission) he purchased her share and the two adjoining lots that were owned by his aunts and combined them so we could have a place to park our trailers in the summertime. The advent of the internet and the resurgence of people wanting to go somewhere with their families to experience the peace and tranquility one can only find in the wilds, led us to feel that sharing this slice of heaven was not only economical but the right thing to do. So much of Kolob and the surrounding areas are marked off by private property, owners who aren’t even there to enjoy it 99% of the time. So we felt divinely called to offer our humble slice of heaven to likeminded individuals, seeking tranquility and peace but for some cosmic reason didn’t stand to inherit private property in the middle of one of the most beautiful places on earth. So welcome friend. We only ask, as you leave this place, to please bring with you this spirit of abundance and joy to wherever you call home.
