We have the amenities of an uptown hotel not too far from downtown. You'll love the peace and quiet of being unplugged, along with no cable or satellite TV, the fluffy towels and you'll be talking about the amazing breakfast for weeks. Five cabins have a great view up to 40 miles off the back porch to the southeast for a magnificent sunrise! The Siesta and Milky Way Cabins have roof-top decks for viewing sunrises, and sunsets and are perfect for stargazing! All cabins are secluded and private. The cabins are spaced about 150 feet apart. We have horseshoes and washer pits, and a large fire pit that can be used when the wind is not blowing and there is no burn ban in place.We are close to Texas state parks for hiking, there is mountain biking close by at Flat Rock Bike trails in Comfort.About Walnut Canyon Cabins-Fredericksburg, Texas-Welcome! Rhonda is glad to be here away from the snows and winters of Utah, whichwe had called home. Carl misses his 4 different seasons and appreciates thatRhonda helps him get his "winter fix" with a ski trip every year! After working behind a desk for decades as a Human Resources professional, Rhonda has embraced and adores our place here and is thrilled to share it with everyone! While Carl worked behind the scenes in many areas of the hospitality industry and obtained a Certified Executive Chef designation, he now looks forward to playing in the kitchen for just a few family and friends. Most of all Carl enjoys meeting our guests coupled with the time he gets to spend with Rhonda! From our first tour of this unique property, Walnut Canyon Cabins, we continue to be amazed at how lucky we were to find this stunning place and with everyone who walks through our doors!We have 2 great boys, 2 incredible daughters-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren. We are truly blessed to have a place like this for them to come and unplug from their daily lives! Texas Sage Campsite and Cabin

This hill has been called "healing hill" because of how peaceful the sunsets are. You literally melt away when you sit out on your lawn chairs and watch the sun go down. Coyotes yap and howl a little out in the distance, and a rabbit is sure to come darting across the yard when the Texas sun begins to set. The cabin sits on 5 acres, but we ask that you stay at your campsite. The site is located with other cabins and houses, so you will not be alone, but everyone is polite and friendly. Hiking is not available on the property, but there is plenty of outdoor activity near by: Hill Country State Park, Bandera City Park, Medina Lake, Medina River. Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Park is a reasonable drive away to make a day trip. The property is available for glamping and the cabin features a walk-in bedroom with spacious bathroom. You are welcome to pitch your tents and have access to the cabin as well. The cabin sleeps two people, but if you pitch tents, you can have more registered guests for an additional fee of $10 a person. Please ask first, so I can adjust the guest limit BEFORE you arrive. This is South Texas, so occasionally burn bans come into effect. Please be aware of this and with each booking I will keep you alerted to whether or not the fire pit is available for use. In the case of a burn ban, you may choose to stay without fire or find another spot (burn ban in one location is burn ban in all the county). Please feel free to ask questions.
