This RV/Camper spot is on a city-sized lot (less than ⅕ acre) next to my house, with a space measuring 75 feet long and featuring a 12-foot entrance. While the angled entrance from the street through the front gate may pose a slight challenge for larger rigs or trailers, there is ample room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV. A 30-amp electric hookup is conveniently located on the side of the house, with water access available from the rear. While sewer hookups are not available, we are happy to discuss nearby options for dumping gray and black tanks. During your stay, we'll be residing in the house but will respect your privacy while remaining available to assist with anything you might need. There’s even a "catio" in the backyard, where you might catch a glimpse of our shy and elusive cats! We’re pet-friendly and welcome your furry companions but kindly ask that you clean up after them. Finding an affordable spot in Austin is difficult. Frankly, if a campsite is open at McKinney Falls State Park that is a better option (includes water, electricity, bathrooms, showers) for about the same price. but they fill up fast. Alex’s place wasn’t too far from downtown, and felt safe. The space (his driveway) was large and flat and was easy to access. Alex answered messages and encouraged any questions. If you only need a basic place to park your RV and sleep overnight and you are self contained, Alex’s place fits the bill.

Great to get if visiting, I recommend only rv’s for the spot. (I took a pop up camper, no restroom on site so made some things a little tricky). Host was very flexible and good communication. Worked out for the event I was visiting for.

FIVE STARS! This Hipcamp stay at the vineyard near Hamilton Pool Reserve was an unforgettable escape. Secluded but completely safe, it felt like staying on a friend’s private ranch, and the host? A total gem, like that fun uncle who hands you a glass of wine and instantly makes you feel at home. The campsite was nice with level ground with plenty of shade to tuck in our Van away for the hot TX sun. There are clean bathrooms next to the testing room backyard open 24-7. The vineyard was stunning, but the real highlight was the wine tasting with rich, complex wines served with stories and heart. We also took a dip at the near by crystal-clear waters at Reimers Ranch Park it was totally refreshing and made us feel like we had our own private swimming hole. Between the peaceful setting, the genuine hospitality, and the beautiful natural spots nearby, this place is the kind of stay you never forget. Already dreaming about our next trip back.

Very nice park. Site 29 had a water view of the lake. Beautiful grotto-like pool area with hot tub. Excellent infrastructure, appropriate RV voltage at post, good water pressure, good WiFi. Lounge area next to office with TV, games, coffee service, and microwave. Office staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. They also have a rally hall with kitchen available for RV rallies. Cabin rentals also available. Boat ramp and kayak rentals are also available. Located literally next to Buchanan Dam on the north end. This was formerly Big Chief RV Park for years, now under new ownership. Highly recommended.
