4 nights at deer acres

Nice full hookup site. There was not anyone in the other site, so we had the place to ourselves for the 4 nights we were there. We do a lot of boondocking, so having full hookups was a nice change of pace.

This is a review for spot in front of the house. Work on the coop house moved me. The spot was easy to get to, and Andrew gave a great tip on leveling the van. Easy visit, thanks.

Weekend Trip to deer acres

Our host has really done a great job creating pull through camp spaces. Perfectly layed out opposing spaces with an island of services between them. BBQ stands, durable hand made fire rings, picnic tables, garbage station - all in excellent condition. Host even provides sewer hose ramp/stands for waste water. Well cared for lawns also! We’re considering setting up our own Hipcamp and this is the example we’l be using when we do so. Absolutely saved as a favorite and if we should travel to/through the area again this is the place we’ll look for.

2 nights at The Camp Campground

The site was clean and easy to back my 24' trailer into. The location in convenient to most all things Bend. Bathroom was clean, dog park was clean, it is a nice place to camp in downtown (nearly) Bend.

We made a last minute reservation. Everything was great and a potential problem was handled well by Andrew. Would definitely stay again.

One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. Campsite is on a second driveway to the front of the house on a wooded, half-acre lot in a quiet neighborhood in Southwest Bend. House lots are big and the area provides nice cool morning walks. There is a curb at the start of the driveway but aids will be provided if necessary. Electrical (110x2; 50A with converter to 30A), water, and sewer hookups are available! There is a fenced in yard that may be used if your dog(s) get along with mine and you help with poop patrol. You will need to check the fence line to confirm that your dogs cannot get out, as I am not responsible if they escape. A large part of my yard is rewilding, so you will see tall grasses and increasing varieties of flowers over the years. A hot tub may be available by appointment. House is enhanced by the use of focused life force energy (FLFE.net), so enjoy relaxing in the higher vibes. There is one cat to rule us all and she may grace you with her presence if you welcome her. Site is located an easily walkable ½ mile from a shopping center with grocery (just closed but hoping for another to take its place), vet, Mexican and Asian-fusion restaurants, and a wine bar with occasional entertainment. Beyond that, is a park with a climb to a tall hill with a lovely 360 overlook view of the surrounding mountains. There is access to the river and river trail about ¾ mile walk away - this trail can take you all the way to Farewell Park and the Old Mill shopping area. And a bus stop is around the corner, just about a house length away. This is a great base location for all your adventures in Bend and surrounding areas, and a quiet place in which to relax afterwards. I enjoy hosting and always welcome any guidance, suggestions, and creative ideas.

TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times. Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will hopefully gain some needed respite. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired. The campsite boards a small farm with goats, sheep etc. Located in Central Oregon and minutes from Tumalo State Park located on the Deschutes River that runs through downtown Bend offering lazy raft or tube floating. Downtown Bend and boarding the river is an amphitheater with top name bands every few weeks. Less than ten minutes from "The Cascade Village Shopping Center" (https://www.shopcascadevillage.com)with many restaurant and shopping options to the south. Ten minutes to the north is Tumalo Town offering carts at “The Bite” (https://www.thebitetumalo.com) with tasty local beers on tap, two cider tasting rooms (Bend Cider and Tumalo Cider). There, you will find a general store offering refillable beer and cider growlers and a deli with both gas and diesel. There is also a coffee shop, pizza parlor, tavern and the historic “Tumalo Feed Co. Steakhouse” (https://www.tumalofeedcosteakhouse.com) with an old town western feel. For your adventures, there’s Smith Rock State Park 30 minutes north and Mt Bachelor 50 minutes west for you downhill and Nordic skiers. In between Mt Bachelor and Rancho Relaxo site there is plenty of hiking and awesome mountain bike trails including the Phil’s trail system. Five minutes north on Old Bend Redmond Highway is "Schilling's Garden Market" (https://www.schillingsgardenmarket.com) offering mini venues, gardening classes and fresh produce along with plants for sale. Fifteen minutes north is “Well Rooted” (https://wellrootedfarms.co yep without the m at the end of their website) where you can pick your own fresh produce, buy meats etc.

Learn more about this land: Pull up and let the vacation begin. The Lake Billy Chinook area has everything for the perfect camp trip. There is bike riding, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, swimming, kayaking, lounging and enjoying nature. When you arrive just park in your site. We have 30-amp service but no RV septic hookup. The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig. We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful. During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports. Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.
