1 night at Brownsville Hillside RV Site

Jered and Stefanie’s site was absolutely perfect! The site was very easy to access, quiet, and very private. The view was phenomenal with the addition of a brilliant sunset. The cemetery next door was so interesting to walk through with unique history of the area. Although they had had a lot of rain the site was totally dry. We will be back!

A very beautiful spot, tucked away in the forest with elegant landscaping. Ankush was responsive and answered all of our questions.

2 nights at Brownsville Hillside RV Site

Jered and Stefane have spectacular views of the surrounding farmland and the little town of Brownsville from their Hipcamp! Our camp spot was level, well maintained, and equipped with all the basics for camping. We loved having some open space to take our German Shepherd off leash. Randy’s Coffee shop in town is a walkable distance away and has the best scones ever! We would definitely visit Jered and Stefanie’s Hipcamp again!

1 night at Buena Vista Lavender Farm

My only regret about this stay was that it wasn’t longer. I stayed in the Big Tiny House and it was adorable! It had everything I needed and more. There were so many little touches and the sunset and sunrise were stunning. I hope I get to stay again some time!

1 night at Brownsville Hillside RV Site

Jered is always very communicative and quickly quickly answers any questions you may have. They have continued to make improvements to the property, including widening the access to the site for better access for motorhomes. The location is not too far off I-5. It’s peaceful and has a nice view from the pad. The historical Pioneer Cemetery right next-door adds a few acres of birding habitat in season, which is a plus for me. We will be back.

Quiet, easy to find, and has a great view. Jered made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Weekend Trip to Ruah Ranch

Ruah Ranch was a beautiful space, especially if you like dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. It was bit chilly in my tent during the winter season so bring extra layers. Thank you Lee, Connie, and especially Sherry for jumping my car battery after I drained it. I got some much needed fresh air and sunshine. The folks in town were pleasant as well. 🙂

We’ve stayed here many times, always finding peace and quiet, scenic, pastoral views, and friendly hosts. Water and electric hook ups for RV are a good benefit here. Don’t hesitate to camp here if you’re out this way.

This is a beautiful park- like spot The rv pad has full hookups and overlooks the hillside with a small landscaped pond down below. The host was communicative and advised us on how to access the site.

1 night at Ruah Ranch

Nice folks, chatted for a bit about their race horses. Lee offered to help spot me backing in and help me get set up. Site was nice and peaceful, just make sure you have leveling blocks. O h and a very friendly Corgi came for a visit a few times which was nice!

Simply a great place. Quiet and lots of lovely greenery. I would recommend it to anyone.

1 night at Brownsville Hillside RV Site

This site has a nice hillside view overlooking open fields, with some wooded tracts. Jered is a kind and considerate host who made sure we got situated and had what we needed. We had a peaceful night and the area is good for birdwatching as well. I was entertained by a cloud of Pine Siskins and spotted a Townsend‘s Warbler as well.

Great place to stay if you want to see some beautiful country and want to be close to Silver Falls State Park. Easy to get in and out and the host are great.

We loved our stay at Ruah Ranch. Was nice and quiet, we loved walking down the gravel road. Connie was great and answered any questions that we have! Her little dog Chloe is precious and has the unofficial title of camp host :) we would definitely stay here again. I look forward to staying in the spring or summer when the weather is even better!

Ruah Ranch is situated on an old donation land claim and was also the site of nomadic Native American tribes. Abundant wildlife graces our acres as well as the beautiful Thoroughbred horses we raise. You'll likely be serenaded by coyotes in the evenings and may catch sight of them during the day. Three different species of raptors frequent the skies above the ranch and beavers have established outposts along the stream. Beautiful thoroughbred horses will greet you every morning from their nearby pasture while you enjoy your coffee in the shade of the trellised Wisteria. Silver Falls State Park is a short drive away where you can enjoy hiking and biking and even guided horseback rides. The Oregon Gardens are just a bit further north on the outskirts of Silverton and many wineries dot the landscape all around. If you like horses we’ll be happy to give you a tour of the ranch and introduce you to the resident equines, many of which have horse racing royalty up close in their lineage.

Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.

The road department put a sign up that makes our neighbors road look like it should be Crawfordsville Dr. If you see a gate you are at the wrong driveway. 5 Acers of woods, 1 Acer of field/grassland, and one are on the hill with gravel for up RV's. Property is only 0.35 miles from Calapooia river access (local secret spot). 1 mile to McKercher Park and additional river access. General store 0.75 miles away. Next to the historic Crawfordsville Covered Bridge. 8 miles from Brownsville, this town has been featured in multiple movies. 13.8 miles from Foster lake. At the bottom of the property there is a tree house, fire pit, and large grass field that could accommodate 20+ tents. Upper area is a rock parking area with RV hook ups. gas firepit, gas BBQ, and picknic table. I only rent to one group at a time. Rarely camping there when campers are there but father is on site (the grey house) to assist if needed.

The town of Harrisburg is such a cool, easy-going, quaint place to spend some time. Accessibility is one of its' key assets. Harrisburg has a few family owned places to eat at, and a few shops to explore. It's a one light town, but that is why we love it here. The river is my favorite part. I sit for hours on end, watching the water flow by. Fishing, rafting/floating, and wading in the water are all fun things to do here. If you are looking for something just to get off the highway for the night, or for a longer stay, this is a great quiet place to be.
