This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive mountain terrain (rocky). The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. We have NO size or slide out restrictions, our spots were built with your comfort in mind. The BEAR'S DEN cabin is a 1 room 1 bathroom cabin. Built to sleep 4 with a spacious queen bed perfect for falling asleep on, a cozy twin bed for reading/sleeping, and stowed under the twin bed is an adventure cot for that outside nap on the deck. The cabin is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave) inverter. In the bathroom we have a metal wrapped 22" deep soaking tub equipped with a rainfall shower head to wash the stress away. No glamping cabin would be complete without a wave activated hand dryer a 43" Wi-Fi connected smart TV and the latest plug ins with USB ports included so you can forget that charging box at home. Coffee, bedding, towels, bar soap, provided. So what are you waiting for? It's time to camp!

It's also a Great launch site for hwy motorcycle enthusiast who will love the scenic curvy, low traffic highways in the area such as the Pig Trail Hwy to Eureka Springs, The Hwy 10 and 7 run to Hot Springs and the famous Hwy 7 run from I 40 north through Jasper to Harrison. All incredibly beautiful paved roads to ride.

All incredibly beautiful paved roads to ride.

Weekend Trip to Kiamichi Mounds
I loved my time spent on Drue’s property! Not only was he extremely helpful, but his property is very well cared for!
They also gave me the most delicious bright orange eggs!!! Anytime I noticed I forgot something or had a question, I got a message with a solution right away.
There is enough land that you can really be comfortable here and have a nice secluded peaceful time. Many oaks on the property and even oak firewood!! There was even a kindling pile ready to go when I arrived— there are a lot of small details like that.
It’s a real treat and a great weekend if you like fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, or just hanging out! Definitely recommend it 😇 !!

Weekend Trip to End of the Trail
This is a magical place!!! It is in a very secluded area. Had to pass a small creek which I was scared to do in my car that’s low to the ground, but it probably could have made it. Great place to have a fire and look at the stars. The only thing I wish is that we had more time!!! It was peaceful listening to the river at night. Also saw deer.

We enjoyed our stop at Heavener Runestone Park. The terrain is hilly and scenic. Our highlight was watching the sun set from the scenic overlook. The amenities are a bit faded, but functional. This was a comfortable place to spend the night on our way south. It was fun to learn about this odd bit of history, too!

Folks, I can't recommend Barker Gap and Brian enough. I just completed a couple day stay in Site 1 (just me and my dog), and the grounds were immaculately kept and very spacious, the scenery was gorgeous and the hospitality shown by the host (Brian) was off the charts. If you're visiting Brian's neck of the woods, stay in one of his cabins or do like I did and set up the ol' glamper in one of their 3 RV sites. I make you this promise... you won't regret it. Can't wait to come back, wife in tow this time.

Great little spot that you won’t have to share with many or any others. You’re right on the Fourche La Fave river. You have a fire pit basically on the river with a nice gazebo adorned with warm string lights. 20/30/50 amp power worked flawlessly and you have water as well. Great spot. The hosts are super nice. 10/10 would camp here again!

The wife and I loved staying here in our RV. The sites are nice, wide and level. Nothing more you could ask for in a campsite. Very close to Buckhorn trails with lots of riding straight from camp. The hosts are the best! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area or planning to ride Buckhorn.

I loved tent camping on Shelley's land. It is a working cattle ranch, zip line course and concert venue. I camped at site 1 right at the ponds edge. Only 10 minutes to Mena. Very quiet. Very friendly pups. Fishing was fantastic. Lots of stars and a few falling ones too!

Amazing spot. They really made sure there’s everything you could need at the site. The river is beyond beautiful. The pavilion had all the extras one could need and more. We had an amazing time and will be back as soon as possible in Spring. I even had a dead battery in my car as we were trying to leave and Daniel came to the rescue to give me a jump start. Best Hipcamp we’ve been to yet!
