The Spotted Sandpiper

The land that became our property was once owned by the King family. (i.e. Kingtown Beach Road) In the 1970s it was a marina developed by the Fulton family, with 4 small tourist cabins on the hillside above the water. Two more families loved and cared for the property before our family purchased it in late 2018. We're are delighted to share the beauty of Cayuga Lake with guests from all over the United States and the world, and hope to welcome you soon to The Spotted Sandpiper! Situated on 4 acres and with 400’ of secluded frontage on Cayuga Lake, The Spotted Sandpiper is the largest private lakefront vacation rental property in the Ithaca area. We’re nestled at the end of a private road, but only 7 minutes from Trumansburg, 3 1⁄2 miles from Taughannock State Park, and 20 minutes from Ithaca. We're conveniently located along the Cayuga Wine Trail!We are perfect for family reunions and wedding party rentals, families traveling together or friends looking for a week or weekend away! Our beach is an ideal swimming spot for children because of its gentle slope and clear waters.

 - this is an adventure just like that with dirt (mud puddles and all) driveway (approx. 1000 ft. long).

This is a private property of 10 acres of lightly wooded, sloping areas with a pond and a private residence of 2300 sq. ft. which have guest rooms available as a BnB - Book rooms on Booking.com or AirBnB. It is NOT a manicured estate but rather land with mowed rustic trails with a old pond with water critters, bullfrogs, fishes, water spiders, tiny snails. There is an occasional Blue Herring, Wood Ducks and Canadian Geese that stop by as well as other wildlife.

D&K Ranch

D & K  stands for Dave & Kelly. We are a family run ranch with five wonderful children. We also have had the privilege to house many foster children over the years. During your ride here you will also enjoy the company of interns from around the world.Along with getting to know people and enjoying life, we also have the privilege of working with many wonderful horses. When you come to the Ranch you will also get to meet  Wranglers that will match you with a horse and treat you as part of the D&K family!D&K Ranch is located in the middle of the Finger Lakes National Forest. This Forest is unique to the East due to the fact that it has grazing lands available similar to out West. We have 16,000 acres of National Forest trails to ride. In addition, there are 30 acres of wooded trails at D&K Ranch. Rides at D&K Ranch will be customized to your comfort level. This cabin has a shared bathroom with hot water and lights, however it is off the grid so we do have a charging station at the shared kitchen.

The campsite is situated privately on a working farm that has been in the family for 220 years.  Me and my two young kids and grandmother live at the farm . We raise pastured angus beef, grain, hay and vegetables. Campers are welcome to walk the trails around the fields and woods and visit the animals. We can also provide campers with fresh beef and sometimes eggs.Learn more about this land:

Enjoy peace, nature, and agriculture while overlooking your own private lake. 500 contiguous acres to explore on this working farm that has been in the family since 1797. We are a small family farm that has a hidden lake and 100 year old orchard at which camping provides privacy and freedom while still being a short walk or drive to amenities. Someone will always be at the main house about 3/4 of a mile away for any of your needs.  Most of the time cars or r.v.s can manage the gravel and dirt road back to the campsite, assistance or a truck will be provided if a large rain storm might occur during your stay. We are just a mile north of Seneca lake providing easy access to Geneva and the many wine trails.

this is basic camping area with no hookups but an electric generator is available.  There is a dock, fishing, picnic table and deck, and fire pit, you will have the entire area to yourself and can set up camp whenever you would like .

For 2024 we have added a large porta potty.

Shimmers camp

It was built in the 1800’s and I bought it in 1996. It had no  running water, electric, it just had a shell with walls. It had cloth wiring with two fuses well I made it into my cozy little farm. almost all self-contained getting windmill this summer.
