I can’t say enough good things about this campsite. The setting is absolutely beautiful—rustic, peaceful, and surrounded by nature in a way that makes you feel truly immersed in the wilderness. I came for the solitude of winter camping, and it was perfect, but I’d return in any season without hesitation. What really sets this place apart, though, is the host, Nick. He’s hands down the best host I’ve ever had—thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and deeply knowledgeable. But more than that, he’s an artist and a steward of the land, and his farm is a true sanctuary. You can tell he cares deeply about the environment and about creating a meaningful experience for his guests. If you’re looking for a place that offers both seclusion and soul, this is it. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location, exceptional hosts! Thoughtful, friendly, and considerate. Ken and Jen went above and beyond my expectations. There was a foot or more of freshly fallen snow, and not only did Ken clear a path down to the site, he cleared a large area at the tent site as well. There was more than enough room for my tent, a picnic table and fire pit, and there was a healthy stack of split firewood ready to burn. I am looking forward to going back. Thank you Ken and Jen!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

Another awesome stay at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary! We explored snowy trails, experienced the sauna and cold plunge, had a fire at our site at night and was plowed out in the morning by Nick after some snowfall overnight. It’s always so beautiful and peaceful here.

3 nights at Wandering Pines Camping

Wandering Pines was one of my most favorite camp spots I've ever experienced, and I've camped all over the country. This slice of heaven is nestled back off the road, on acres of property, a ways outside of the sweetest small town. Far enough into nature that the stars and moon are magnificient but still an easy enough drive to town for necessities or a great dinner at one of the local spots. Julie and Dan are the most lovely hosts, fiendly, welcoming and helpful. The outhouse is adorable. The views are amazing. The family pup is the sweetest. Don't pass up a chance to stay here!

I can't say enough great things about my experience here! I've traveled and camped all over the country and this is by far one of my favorites. Julie and Dan are the most lovely hosts, they've made my stay welcoming and comfortable and their property is beautiful and peaceful. The trees surrounding the property have been my favorite to wake up to. This is my first real winter camping and it has been absolutely my most memorable camping experience. There's so much to do all around, you could never run out of activities to have fun with in all of the surrounding areas. If you're looking for a rad place to camp with awesome hosts and the sweetest pup, this is it! I can't wait to come back :)

Winter camping on Julie and Dan's land was amazing! We got to have beautiful views of the white mountains from our site. It was peaceful and private. Even the dog came by to say hello a few times, it was a treat. The outhouse is close by and we were able to charge our power banks during the day for our nighttime heater, a big bonus! Thank you for the hospitality!

Nice and secluded off of a dirt road and easy to get to, was a great place to try out my hot tent again. Very spacious.

We loved camping on this site, decided last minute to get away for a winter camping trip and this site was perfect! Ken had the site cleared off and made sure we had lots of fire wood. The temperature was in the single digits so this was very much appreciated! The view of the stars couldn't of been better. Thank you for sharing your land with us!!

Julie is a very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating host. She met us when we arrived, walked us through the grounds, and supplied us with plenty of fire wood. We came on an extra cold weekend where it dropped to -1 degrees so not surprisingly we had the whole grounds to ourselves, which was great. Overall, we had an amazing time and woke up to a lovely view of the mountain landscape and sparkling frosted vegetation from our site—would definitely visit again.

It was off season and I was trying to find a site I wouldn’t have much trouble locating. Theirs was close to the road but it was quiet. Dan greeted me and showed me where to park. The campground was surrounded by pines and the ground soft. In 40F weather it was the comfiest sleep I’ve ever had hip-camping. There’s also ample space between campsites. You do a very short walk from where you park and there’s a private toilet not very far. Dan supplied me with plenty of wood for the two nights I was here. They also offer spring water for a small fee.

Weekend Trip to Stagecoach Falls

What a great spot! We decided to give winter camping in our fifth wheel a try and had read about Stagecoach Falls on IG. Kevin was up-front about having the water shut off because of the cold and not plowing the road in the winter and called us a couple of days in advance to let us know that there were about three inches of snow on the ground. We decided to give it a shot anyway and, unfortunately, it didn’t go as seamlessly as we had hoped. Because of the snow, the road was difficult to find. Once we found the entrance, we almost immediately got our rig stuck off the side of the dirt road. Kevin was super helpful in finding us someone to come and plow (and also offered to work out a refund if we decided to pull the plug) and we used Good Sam to get help in winching us back onto the road. Now that we’re here and settled in, we’re glad we didn’t head back home. It’s an absolutely beautiful, private spot right next to the river (we are on site 1). There is almost no light pollution, so if you’re into stargazing, you’ll love it here. It’s far enough off of the road that we’re letting our dog off leash since the other two spots are unoccupied, and he’s currently living his best life. Thanks, Kevin. We’re looking forward to returning here in the future.

Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a bucket compost toilet. A compost bag and shavings/leaves/moss provided. The tent sites are off grid with a few conveniences. THOMAS POND Thomas Pond is a beautiful 533-acre freshwater pond with over 7.4 miles of shoreline. Thomas Pond’s maximum depth is 64 feet, and the mean depth is 22 feet. Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. As our guest staying at The Queen's Property, you will also have free access to the Watkins Shores Road Association's boat launch. The boat launch is just a two or three minute walk down the road from your site. Our new dock is available to dock your boat during the day.. However, there is a small fee to dock your boat overnight (see "Extras") at our site. Just make sure you check for Milfoil or any other invasive plants before launching. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Bridgton is a 20-minute drive from your campsite. It offers its visitors a quaint downtown filled with local retailers, pubs, and restaurants. Enjoy the beaches of Bridgton’s Crystal Lake which sits on the edge of its downtown borders. The towns of Raymond and Windham also offer our visitors numerous restaurants, grocery stores, hardware stores, and gas stations. Once again, all within a short drive from your campsite (3-4 minutes). NEARBY STATE PARKS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES If your idea of exploring is centered around outdoor activities, then Sebago Lake State Park is a 1,342-acre park that abuts the shores of Sebago Lake. It's one of Maine’s most popular parks. Located in the towns of Casco and Naples, the park is open year-round and is less than a 10 minute drive from your campsite. Within the park, you will enjoy protected forests, bike paths, and Sebago Lake beaches. Sebago Lake is a deep glacial lake, and by itself is 44 square miles of clear waters that abut Sebago Lake State Park. The park and the lake host some of Maine's’ best sandy beaches, water sports, fishing, boating, boat rentals, camping, picnic areas, boat launches, extensive woodlands, a wide array of critters, hiking trails, and walking trails. Sebago Park hosts various play areas for children with slides and swings. The summer sun is warm and the autumn colors are always abundant and beautiful. The entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. If you are an avid hiker, The Queen’s Property is a short drive to numerous mountain ranges, forests, and peaks, all of which contain hundreds of miles of ATV and hiking trails. Wandering Pines is a little slice of magic in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. Our sites are large, private and offer field or wooded land. The sites are near our Small House on 5 acres but far enough away to feel private. We currently have 6 sites; 1 glamping site(opening in April) 1 large campsite, 2 primitive sites and 2 park and sleep sites. While the weather is changing, snow is melting and mud is present, some of our sites may not be available. Please message me before booking. We have a ton of space and can accommodate you somewhere! During the warmer months(Late March-Early December) all the sites have access to water and a primitive outhouse and handwashing/dishwashing station. All sites except the primitive sites have access to electricity. All the sites have a fire ring. Firewood can be purchased. We have wetlands and overgrown fields so there may be bugs and other animals at any given time. Bug spray is recommended. Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping. The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; such as soccer and corn hole. We are within 25 mins of Lancaster, Jefferson, Littleton, and Bethlehem. Small town bars, restaurants, breweries and one of a kind views of mountains, lakes, rivers and wildlife. There is hiking galore and more than enough to do for all ages.

We also have a some dirt jumps if you need to get warmed up before your ride, and a simple bike wash station ready to go when you get back. Lots of wildlife inhabit our area of Vermont. During your stay you're likely to see whitetail deer, squirrels and chippies, rabbits, and hawks. There's a chance you may see a fox, black bear, moose or even a bobcat! We ask that food is secured in your vehicle and not brought into the bell tents, for your own safety. We do have a basket of safety equipment in each tent. The basket contains bug spray, bear horn, simple first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a flash light.

Nordic Roots Farm

This beautiful, historic property was one of the first to be settled in the early 1800s. The credited first settler in Charleston, Vermont; Abner Allyn and his family owned this farm for 100 years! Our family began restoring the farmhouse as well as beginning a small regenerative farming operation in 2022. Currently we have a small flock of broilers and layers, turkeys, ducks and guineas. Our birds are fed an organic feed local to Vermont and are pasture raised. Freya is the Great Pyrenees about the farm. She protects the flocks from predators. She is a working dog and has access to the entire property. A sweet brook meanders through the property which all sites have access to as well as stunning views of bald mountain. Lovely farm views throughout the seasons. Multiple trails for exploring can be found on and off farm. Trailheads to multiple mountains are within a few minutes of campsites. Lake Willoughby is a short 4 miles away, 7 miles to Island Pond, as well as endless hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing and more.

Three primitive campsites for outdoor recreationalists and bikers are situated in an unmowed field at the trail head of the Victory Hill Trail Club’s, a public recreational trail network on private land surrounded by thousands of acres of conserved land and State forest. Learn more about this land: Camp trailside in the heart of the internationally acclaimed Victory Hill Sector trail system. Open to mountain biking and public hiking in the summer. These primitive campsites are in a mountain field overlooking New Hampshire's White Mountains. Trail connections link the network with Kingdom Trails in East Burke and gravel routes to New Hampshire and the rest of Vermont. Camp and ride: An ideal location for evening ride after you set up camp. Eat, sleep, ride ! Porta-potties are located 100 yards below the campsites. Moose, bear, deer, coyote, snowshoe hares, grouse, woodcock, wild turkey and bobcat, can be seen occasionally as you explore this upland forest and the bottom lands heading down to the Victory Bog, a pristine wetland areas, known for canoeing, bird watching. Kayakers and campers can experience white white water during high water seasons on the Moose River which flows by the bog. The access road to the campsites through the field is rough. Vehicles with extra clearance are recommended. Campers should come prepared with fly, mosquito, tick repellents without which you will be literally eaten alive in June and July. After mid-August the insects are less vexing. Obtain drinking water from our office manager at 2428 Victory Hill Rd. and bathe somewhere in Weir Mill Brook, 1/2 mile from the campsite - if you need to get clean.
