If you bring your dog, please be aware of the wildlife and other dogs. During certain season there are wild currants, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, mountain sorrel and more. I wanted a cabin in the woods forever and my boys built me this awesome cabin! Drive down in good weather, walk or snowshoe in winter, about 3-400 yards. Beautiful, DRY {No running water}, no electricity cabin. Called "Unplugged" for several reasons: No electricity, No internet and most phones don't work! Bring books! 16 x 20 with a loft with stairs. Queen bed in loft and futon downstairs. Has an outhouse. Stocked with basics for cooking on regular size grill, small grill and new 2 burner camp stove. Cabin is well insulated, uses a Big Buddy heater for heat in winter .The rain barrel is only for water for fire pit! Not drinkable!! You fill the black bucket and put it near fire pit while having a camp fire.

It is Private! Enjoy our hiking trails and find your way to the Crooked Run River. There is no electricity/running water. It’s “Off the grid”. Solar lighting/shower, outhouse onsite. Handy kitchen and dining area with first floor sleeping. You won't want to leave. Just bring food and drinks and unwind in a certified wildlife habitat. No pets are allowed at this cabin. You must hike to the cabin (1/4 mile hike, down hill which means there is a slight climb to get back to your car) So pack light. The cabin includes some taxidermy and fragrances and the woods are home to bugs and wild animals. Please be sure you understand the overall experience here before booking. We close our gate to the farm after 6pm to limit traffic through the farm so come prepared for a campfire cooked dinner and plan to relax.

Large lending library available by owner. Second floor bedroom with 1 queen and 1 double bed with privacy knee wall. Double futon on first. Screened in porch with dining, surrounded by nature. Separate screened in platform for a third dining option. Attached fully enclosed outdoor shower with hot water. Access to your own large dock with 2 kayaks. Swim, paddle, hike and wildlife viewing from the privacy of your own cabin. Reliable cell service and wifi using your data with some carriers. Owners are nearby and have a landline for emergency calls. Broadband may be available 2024. Fabulous, serene retreat for writers, artists, fishermen or ladies w/e! Exercise class, yoga and guided kayak and Mine tours (off site) available for added fees. Walk the many brooks, small streams and 10-foot waterfall. All accessible from the pond. Due to COVID guidelines, guests need to supply their own linens, pillowcases and bath towels.
