In the beautiful backdrop of the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan (U.P.), we've built a sustainable, off-grid retreat where you can design your own personal EcoXtreme adventure. Enjoy this back-country timber- frame haven among a forest of birch and pine, next to the magical flow of the Montreal River, and surrounded by a cornucopia of recreational offerings. Extreme skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, sailing, surfing, and scuba are just a few of the exploits available.

This land was owned by my Grandfather, Carl Mansfeldt. He farmed for many years and even had cows. We have started to develop it and put a garage and a "gazauna" on this part of land. (Gazauna is a made up name for gazebo and sauna) My parent's John and Karen Mansfeldt will be your hosts. Enjoy your walks in the woods!Learn more about this land:This is a remote, peaceful, private, forested site in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The site is overlooking a pond/ravine. One outbuilding includes a SAUNA. It is 1 mile away from the #15 ATV/snowmobile trail, 6 miles from Keweenaw Bay (Lake Superior),  3 miles from Ojibiwa casino, 23 miles from Sturgeon falls (Ottawa National forest), to just name a few things to do. We have wild raspberry and black berry bushes all throughout the woods. There are trails in the woods for hiking as well.

Gentle Breeze Camping

This is a 

private campground on Sandy Lake.

Very quiet, private dock, sandy beach, great for fishing, kayaking or just relaxing.

ATV's by approval, there will be no load ATV's, no running ATV's other then entry and exit, if there are complaints from other campers you will be asked to leave

New this year is a sauna with shower, this is an electric sauna , use will be by donation. Sauna is not part of base fee, additional cost for sauna

Hart's Trail Camp

Located in wooden area with private pond for fishing.  Connection to Trail 17/B for 4-Wheeling or hiking.  Local shopping in Houghton and Calumet.  Take a ride up to Copper Harbor to the end of Hwy 41 Nth.  Check out Brockway Mountain views of Lake Superior and the beautiful forest.  Come down Hwy M26 and check out The Jam Pot between Eagle Harbor and Eagle River for delicious bakery and jams.

We were able to find an easy entrance and grass area to park when we arrived!

David's land has some beautiful trails to check out! I enjoyed a nice walk.

We were able to prepare an amazing camp dinner!

We found some great trees to set up our hammocks for the night!

Here is the RV that you have access to when you use this property. Thankful to have bathroom/shower access.

The inside of the RV has a little kitchen area.

The bathroom has a small sink counter and toilet. 

The grassy area is perfect for a tent to be put up!
