Sunflower Ranch Camping

1 site · Lodging4 acres · Ellsworth, ME
Sunflower Ranch is the name of our home and property. Not only is our cozy, modest house sunflower yellow but in August it is surrounded with sunflowers of all sizes. We share our property with a flock of sweet hens and ducks.....and a few bossy roosters. Eggs are available for purchase if needed. There is a little greenhouse with herbs, greens and strawberries. The field is also an apple orchard that mostly feeds the wildlife. The tent site is privately placed in our cove unseen from the house. We wanted to offer a site that we would enjoy as well and feels like it is in a world of its own. We spend all of our free time outside, camping and paddling the local rivers and lakes. Tommy and I can recommend many beautiful remote Maine adventures for you to experience that are located off the grid and away from all other humans. The sweet city of Ellsworth is only 7 miles away for all of your provisions and Otis General Store is 1 mile away.. they have everything to get you through plus beer, wine, ice and homemade pizza. We can give you a pass to visit the Beech Hill Pond Beach also only 1 mile away (I walk there all the time) which has clear water and a sandy bottom. Great spot to spend the day sunbathing and swimming. I can offer yoga, personal training, boxing and paddleboard lessons or SUP yoga for some onsite physical fitness fun upon request. Learn more about this land: 16 by 12 ft A-Frame on a platform overlooking our private cove on Graham Lake.  Walk through the forest trail to the Beech Hill Pond Stream and find a private little swim spot under a mini waterfall . Great fishing, loon watching, eagles and herons. Enjoy paddling and exploring right from your tent site. Bird watching bliss! Very peaceful and quiet. Canoe or 2 kayaks included.

Lakeside Mini A-Frame

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Holden, ME
Our cute little A-frame sleeps 2 people comfortably. It comes with its own outdoor kitchen, grill and outdoor bathroom, with a hot shower and composting toilet. There is cell phone service here as well. You will also enjoy your own private waterfront space with free kayak use, hammocks and firepit with complimentary fire wood. The lake does not have a sandy bottom, so you might want to bring water shoes. We are located about halfway between Bangor and Ellsworth. The Mini is a perfect spot for day trips to the coast. Just a 15 minute ride to Bangor where you will find many local breweries, restaurants, concert venue, theaters, shopping and night life. We are only an hour away from beautiful Mount Desert Island. Our area has abundant small wildlife. We regularly see rabbits, geese, ducks, beaver, eagles, osprey and of course loons. Kayak over to our private island where there are blueberries, and a mating pair of eagles. Paddle over, have lunch, pick some blueberries for your morning cereal, go for a swim. You could also kayak through the thoroughfare to Holbrook Pond. The site is small, just 1 acre and we do live very close by. You will have privacy, but you may hear or see us or our dogs at points during your stay. We will provide a few jugs of water, but you may want to bring some of your own. Cookware, plates, cups, utensils, and cooler are available for use.

Off grid camp nestled on 4 acres on Pickerel Pond. The camp is 1/2 mile from main road surrounded by thousands of acres with a handful of camps. This camp is secluded and private. A small corner store is only 5 minutes away. This location is far enough off the road that you will feel that you are alone in the world. There are gas lights and port of potty. No running water. The camp has two bedrooms with two sets of bunk beds in each room (one bunk bed is a full bed). Couch pulls out to a bed also.

2 sites · Lodging6 acres · Skowhegan, ME
We have a campsite near Lake George in Skowhegan and we added a few sites to share with friends and family. We are going to rent out few places to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. This is a tent but we have included some of the comforts of home. There is power to charge your phone, AC to keep you cool, a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold, lights and a coffee maker. There’s a bathhouse to shower and clean up. We are working on getting the septic system installed and have a portable toilet to use until it’s completed. From the campsite you can take a 10 minute walk down to the lake or you can spend the day hiking. You can drive down to the boat landing and put your kayak in the water or continue up the road to enjoy a nice sandy beach.
