Weekend Trip to Kaskaskia River Camping & RV Park

Love the quiet place on the river. The Point spot was beautiful in you had your own little peninsula. There is a fire pit available on the end. The only odd thing was that for the hook ups they are on a side that you will have to pull into. We actually pulled in on the side to pack into. Apparently it was the side that was not intended for us. Still it’s an amazing place to stay. I don’t know that we would be back in the area but would happily stay again.

Weekend Trip to Emerald Acres Farm

We absolutely loved this little place. They were so kind and accommodating for us. I got there later than expected and stayed one night, and I wasn’t sure where I needed to be, and they came out to guide me. It’s super easy to find the site but count on me to complicate anything. There dog was super friendly and they had 6 baby goats we fell in love with. We want to go back just to camp and spend time with all their animals. What a great little gem you have! Thanks for letting us stay on your land!

4 nights at Emerald Acres Farm

A hidden gem (Emerald to be exact 😆), in southern Illinois. We had THE BEST time at emerald acres! Goats, baby goats, petunia the pig, Llamas and did I mention baby goats? The property is absolutely stunning, great walking paths, breath taking sunrises and sunsets. It truly felt like home. Amenities were clean and well cared for. Shower was hot and great pressure. Highly recommend stopping here. Monica stopped by to introduce herself and is super sweet! Last but not least you’ll have your very own guard dog named Stella. She loves to come and chill with you by the campfire. She’s also a great host as she leads you through the trials.

Weekend Trip to Timberline Ridge

My family really enjoyed staying at this property. It was very well maintained and easy to navigate with our 34' motorhome. The pond was beautiful and we were able to use the provided kayak a few times during our stay. There was only one other rental site (the cabin), which was perfect for our RV-less friends to join us on the trip. It felt very private and quiet, which was great for letting the kids run loose. We enjoyed hiking the trails on the property and did a little fishing. The firewood was generously provided and was very welcome during the brisk spring weather. Communication was quick and helpful throughout the process. The hosts and site were perfect for what we were looking for this trip. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Timberline Ridge

Had a great time. Perfect place to unwind with the family. The cabin was great! The views are great! Even with clouds in the sky and rain for an entire day with high winds, the screened in porch was perfect. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our stay at this site located at the bottom of a long hill - it’s private, secluded, and backs up to a small woods. Meghan was very responsive and attentive during a severe weather event that occurred while we were there. Would highly recommend!

We‘ve enjoyed our brief stay at Happy Trails. Very calm and big area. The sweetest animals. Would recommend going there.

Ryan is a super considerate host. He was so accommodating of our late arrival. He met us in the dark, provided water for us, directed us to a good parking spot and was just an all around pleasant host. Nice to be hosted by a fellow Christ-follower too.

We had a very nice time here! Ryan was very friendly and accommodating. The spot is not far from their home but it feels very private as it is surrounded by open fields. Our kids loved all the animals. We were looking for somewhere quiet that was not too far from St. Louis, and this worked out great.

It just the cutest little campsite. He has lots of thoughtful items available. Chairs, sanitizer, table etc. if I didn’t live 400 plus miles away, it would be a weekend destination for me.

Happy Trails farm is a beautiful refreshing place that you can relax, and connect with the family farm life. We were established Oct. 27th, 2007, and it's our "Acres of Diamonds" (Earl Nightengale). There are 20.11 acres of farm life to share with you. We do many things to help keep the farm going, and moving towards being self supporting. Such as pony rides, birthday parties, weddings, camp outs, and so much more. We sell fresh laid farm eggs for $5 cash a dozen. To purchase eggs, call or text Nancy (618)601-4645 Pony rides are $30 cash, and by appointment only. They are hand led, and approximately 20-30 minute. The child will be hand led around the farm. If you would like to schedule a ride please message Maryann @ (618)610-9282. We also house and run Happy Trails Horse Rescue (501c3) non for profit, and accept donations. Some of the things you will experience and see are: volunteers helping out; horses, mules, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, turkey, goats, llama, and many others. We are a small and important resource to the overall well being of the community. We look forward to seeing you on the farm! Check-in is between 2pm-9pm. No late night check-ins. Cancellations must be made by 2pm the day before your reservation. Happy Trails Farm Resort is a great place to get lost and find a connection. You can end the night with a nice fire in the fire pit.. this site offers a little bit of everything, no need to go anywhere else you can have a nice getaway at the 107.
