Weekend Trip to Deer Valley RV Park

Lovely small campground. Very clean, level gravel sites. Was a quick overnight stay and well worth the cost, knowing we would have electricity and water for the night. Would have liked to stay longer and explore some of the Cherokee Indian Trail of tear's sites and history. Recommend Paul’s Drive in.

Janna was very flexible when making sure we were accommodated. The farm offered all amenities including firewood and eggs! Very friendly environment. Have to come back since while visiting it mostly raining.

My 17 yo grandson & I truly enjoyed coming back to this spot each evening for 3 nights. So many superlatives. The outdoor shower was divine. The bathroom was clean & nicely maintained as well as tastefully decorated as one would decorate a welcoming home. Janna is a gracious hostess. The animals are a joy! Campfire area just for the campers. So many thoughtful touches. We truly enjoyed this spot as we explored Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military History Park. Highly recommend. Chickamauga itself is a lovely historical city as well.

Weekend Trip to OWLS Retreat private campground

Great campsites on a gorgeous lake! There’s a center on the property where the bathrooms are, which is a short walk. We could stay right by the lake in a big field (with a few trees) and it’s so peaceful! There a fire ring and a table and chairs, too!

This was a great little spot! Very well maintained with a nice view of the valley. William was super helpful, as we were staying there when some bad weather rolled in. He not only provided an evacuation plan, but also offered for us to use his basement in event of a tornado. Highly recommend a stay, if you're in the area.

I was traveling through and arrived at dusk and left at dawn, so I wasn't really able to enjoy all that Deer Valley had to offer. The campsite itself was very nice and well cared for. I liked the location and did not notice any noise at night while I was sleeping. I also thought it was very nice to get away from the interstate and take a highway for a while.

We loved the camping location. The place was quiet and serene. We were close to the fishing lake and had a lot of fun catching some good sized bass and panfish. That was the highlight of the trip. We had to leave early due to plan changes but we plan to come back. We are booking again next month!

We loved this property! The owners keep it clean and beautiful! They are also super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Doni is very communicative and wants to help make your experience the best. My kids loved fishing, playing in the shallow parts of the river, floating on the family tube, and being able to see SO many stars at night. I high recommend this property!

Weekend Trip to Lakefront get away

This was our second time staying here in the past year, and we love the spot! We adopted a new dog and this was his first time camping, and we knew it would be a great way to introduce him to it. I can't wait to come back again!

Sweet camp spot which suited our needs perfectly after our visit to Pasaquan. Tiny A-frame was clean as were the showers. Quiet and peaceful. Morning coffee in the office was a welcome extra. A little challenging to find at night (it’s dark in the country!) but it made for incredible star-gazing.

My husband and I stayed for three nights with our pet, and it was exactly what we expected—it met our expectations! The place was very peaceful ; and it was calm and quiet. The owners were very friendly and helpful and you can tell they care about their guests. Our site was also perfect for bringing your pet. The beautiful lake, the corrals with gorgeous horses, and the cleanliness of the place are truly commendable. We had a great time. Thank you, Randy and Lisa!

What a lovely, quaint surprise! My husband and I were looking for a last-minute getaway, and we fortunately stumbled upon this gem! We were amazed at the quiet and serene spot we had acquired from the moment we arrived. The full hook-up was easy to access, and the views were fantastic! Nestled among the wooded trees, our spot was under a canopy of trees, and the view of the lake was so tranquil. This spot was immaculate, and the hosts added a huge fire pit with wood and a double-bench swing for relaxation. Steve and Debbie introduced themselves, and they couldn't have been more kind and accommodating! The path from the site down to the dock was an easy trek, and it was quite enjoyable to sit at the additional bench swing there while watching the wildlife and taking in the beautiful views! Due to our schedule, we were not able to enjoy the two double kayaks and paddle boat that the hosts also provided; we most definitely will take advantage of them on our next visit. Overall, this spot ranks a 10/10 in our books! Thank you again!

Blackbird Farm

We are a working aquaponics farm, located in Marion Co Georgia. From maps it shows that we are about 13 miles straight line distance from Columbus Georgia. That would be true if you could drive through Fort Moore, which you can't so in reality we are actually about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. Luckily if you want to experience some of the activities there, the drive is pleasant with very little traffic. Our rush hour consists on average of about 20 cars until you get back in closer to the city. Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm/general store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, wifi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore. Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below). Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up. Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times. Due to wildlife and our own animals present, we can not allow dogs to roam freely. Even the best pooch can react uncharacteristically to baby goats, not to mention crazy chickens. Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site. Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property. We love to give tours and welcome you to explore. We also for full transparency mention we are a working farm, so roosters, tractors, and other chores start early. We however do not make noise up by your site until much later in the morning. We want you to sleep soundly and peacefully.

LowBranch Farm

This area is magical, as we back up to a tidal marsh, the Spanish moss blows in the wind of the tall oaks planted firmly in the ground, the pines create a sanctuary to the lightning bugs that show up at the beginning and end of summer. Risin' RV

Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials. We are working towards: Total energy and water independence Total structural material independence Food independence via aquaponic farming Providing solar powered refrigerated space to local food distros Providing local kids (and adults) access to training on permaculture and living with minimal impact on the planet. Boat ramp for Boats with electric motors only. Pets welcome with leash rules followed. Picnic table, fire pit and charcoal grill available pull through, campsite with minimal leveling for Rv’s, Property is down a gravel road a little bumpy and a few hills but doesn’t require 4 wheel drive, but helpful (Sometimes the road to paradise is a little bumpy)
