Amazing site. One of the best campsites I have stayed at. I spent the trip with my son and we had an incredible time. The site is spacious, flat, and well laid out, which makes it great for families and groups. The fire pit and seating area made evenings easy and relaxing, and the grill and picnic tables were well positioned and practical. There is plenty to do without leaving camp, but town is close for food and supplies. Walmart is right off the highway, and there are solid local spots nearby, including a fun vinyl record shop in town. We enjoyed it so much that we already booked the site again and are bringing our whole family back in a few weeks.

Friendly host, great camp spot with a white-sand river and beautiful woods. The grounds were full of amenities like fire rings, hammocks, and chairs. There were even extras such as a trampoline and various yard games. The gated site made the whole place feel safe and secluded. We were only one of two groups there during our stay. By far, these were some of the best outhouses I’ve encountered—complete with working lights and a hand-washing sink between the two stalls. Definitely a place worth staying!

We had an amazing stay at Blackwater Ranch! From the very beginning, the owner was wonderful to work with and communicated clearly and promptly, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The property itself was beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the bathrooms were spotless, which is always a big plus for our family. We truly enjoyed our time here and couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. Exactly what we needed for a brief oasis on our way to holiday chaos! The tent site was level and pretty. The toilet facility was clean and uncomplicated. Fire pit was a good size and had rocking chairs around it. Great star viewing! Some highway noise in the distance. There’s running water, but it doesn’t seem potable; this appears to be a temporary issue. A great spot to spend the night!

Another incredible stay at Rest and Relax Retreat ! I try to get up here and tent camp at least every 2 to 3 weeks. Ralph does have a couple of cabins that you can rent also but…I prefer tent camping, especially in the winter right next to the creek. As usual, it exceeded my expectations just with the beauty of the place and all the nice accommodations that Ralph provides…such as, a canopy for each tent site, a smokeless fire pit for each site, and a hammock and picnic table also for each site, oh, and did I mention the common house… where there is a seating area with plenty of outlets to recharge your phone or power station if need be, while you enjoy a cup of coffee from the provided Keurig, coffee, sugar and cream, included and or, take a hot shower at one of two bathrooms inside the common house. He also provides firewood at no charge. Most of the time I have so much wood left over that I can’t even burn it all in the weekend stay ! But if I do run low, it is no problem. I can text Ralph or usually before he turns in for the evening… he will do his walk around to each site. Making sure that everyone has anything and everything that they need, before he himself turns in for the night. The land is beautiful, so are his dogs and his goats. You won’t go wrong if you choose this place… relax by the creek 10 feet away, with a campfire going just in front of you, to soothe your anxieties away. Thank you so much again Ralph for everything!

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.

This site was perfect! Ralph had everything set up for us in advance a canopy, chairs, hammock, fire pit, and all the wood we could need. Loved the trickle sound of the stream at night. Was surprised the price included all the extras. The common area was brand new and clean. We would definitely camp here again or in one of the cabins.
