Park by the beach and splash in warm gulf waters while RV camping along the Gulf Coast.
Along the southwestern shores of Florida, the Gulf Coast offers a beachfront paradise for RV escapes. I-75 takes RVers along some of the region’s most popular beaches, including Fort Myers Beach and Cape Coral for surf fishing and splashing in the waves. Waterfront RV parks are especially popular in this area, with a number of larger parks and smaller private campgrounds offering access to beaches and lakes. Reserve early to score waterfront RV campsites in winter, when RV campgrounds tend to fill up early thanks to the region’s mild, sunny weather. In summer, shady camping spots with water access and full hookups are popular for relief from the humidity. For a day out of the water, try nature walks or biking at one of the region’s many parks like Fort De Soto Park, which also offers on-site RV campsites equipped with water and electricity for easy overnight stays.
