Take the RV to Marco Island and step out onto the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
The largest barrier island in Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands, Marco Island is a welcoming beach community and a great launching spot for campers to explore the area. Park next to the boardwalk at Briggs Nature Center, and observe island wildlife in mangrove estuaries. Or grab a spot on a boat tour expedition to meet and feed dolphins and manatees. Then, drive toward Naples to Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park and try paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, or shelling around the warm Gulf waters and the Cocohatchee River. Anglers can fish from shore, while hikers explore mountain-biking and equestrian trails at the park. Pull up to a nearby RV campsite with wifi, potable water, and picnic tables to use after a day on the water. On the other side of town, pull-through and back-in pet-friendly campsites with full hookups are available for larger travel trailers. A small island with big adventure—Marco Island is ideal for an RV camping trip.
