We had a wonderful time at Sunnyland and were so happy with the site! We loved being able to cozy up next to a fire inside the cabin, and making our coffee & enjoying our meals in the outdoor kitchen space. The back deck to the cabin offers a breathtakingly beautiful view as well. It was such a peaceful experience and Sunny is an excellent host. I highly recommend if you want a getaway close to the coast. Thanks for the perfect holiday! We had such a relaxing time and will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to True Trail Farm
I thoroughly enjoyed staying in the wagon and experiencing everything there is at the farm. The wagon is quaint and cozy and I kept very warm. The animals are absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to stay again!

Weekend Trip to Comptche Matrix @ Sunny-land
The tiny cabin is super cute and the bed is comfy. The view from the porch is amazing! We got lucky and got a clear night for the Geminid meteor shower and saw lots of shooting stars! I’m not always a “people person” but I loved meeting Sunny who is just the nicest! All the people and critters on Sunnyland are great! I will say, if you don’t like hearing kids at play or if you are afraid of super big, sweet dogs this may not be the place for you. Also, I couldn’t get the WiFi to work, but admittedly didn’t try too hard as there were better things to do than look at my phone! Oh, I also got a chance to look at the campsites and they are all very nice too. Next time we visit during nice weather I think we might try out the RidgeTop site!

We loved spending time there! Tons to do for everyone! Kids loved petting the farm animals, hammock, the creek, the bonfire, the games, looking for shark teeth. Good place for grilling with an amazing view of the creek!

Really loved staying here, the tiny cabin was clean and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable winter stay. The outhouse was clean and the firewood was provided. Location is relatively close to downtown which was also nice

Lovely place! Friendly animals and great outdoor space. Tiny house was adorable, very well appointed, and beautifully decorated. Loved having coffee and a fridge, and great outdoor hangout spots. It was a pleasure to stay there!

Loved it here. Clean, cozy, and the canoe ride this morning was heavenly. I’ve been wanting to come here for awhile and it didn’t disappoint one bit. I’ll be back soon. Thanks to the awesome staff for being so attentive and always answering any questions I may have.

Stargazer tiny cabin at the Guinea Farm was perfect for me and my pup. Ian was the perfect host and made us feel so welcome. Meeting the chickens and guineas was a lot of fun and the beach nearby was breathtaking. We explored the area, had a few campfires, and relaxed. Even the rainstorm was amazing while inside Stargazer!!! The cabin was super cool. We will be returning! Just a quick note that did not detract from the experience at all - we did encounter some hunting dogs loose at the beach hunting a deer. Its obviously hunting season and off the location, just good to note. We loved our trip here and valued meeting Ian and learning about his much loved birds, clearly living in paradise. Definitely worth a visit! The cabin itself was extremely clean and well stocked. The property was fun to explore, even has corn hole and axe throwing!

Sunny’s disposition, dogs, and property were the perfect refreshing getaway. You can’t get what you’re getting here from anywhere else, i will be back soon! There were a lot of things, also, that I didn’t realize she provided, like blankets and cooking utensils, even wood, for the stove inside the cabin. It’s still for the best to bring your own stuff in case you like to have specific stuff, and just to lessen the load on the host because she offers the space for such a good deal, but if you forget anything she was very generous and kind. She even used her leaf blower on the fire I was struggling to start in the fire pit near the cabin. The pit toilet was clean and not too hard to get to, with a very nice view, and there is a very good park for hiking 20 minutes away, a store 20 minutes in the opposite direction, and you can get to Mendocino or the Pygmy forest with another 20 minutes or so of driving. This would be a good place to stay if you want to visit the hot spring, too, as their camping is closed after November and their hotel is a little pricey. Safe, chill, and neat.

We enjoyed our weekend at the cozy cottage. The lodging had more than the essential commodities. The location had a had a spectacular views and pristine river which invite one to bask in the moment. Further, Angela was always available and responsive. We will come back some other time

I loved our stay here! My daughter (7) and I were driving through and stayed over for the night before getting back on the road. What a great place to unwind. Our lodgings were so cute and cozy. In the evening we sat by fire and star gazed in the hammock. Some other folks were playing cards on the wrap around porch up at the house. A very welcome feel about the place. We spent the morning hanging out with the horses, feeding the chickens, wandering around the grounds, conversing with the parrot and playing games before getting on the road. Trudy was so kind. My daughter loved talking to Trudy and the other people visiting the farm.

I just got back from a lovely weekend at Sunny’s cabin with my two kids, and it was exactly what we needed.
The cabin is tucked into the redwoods, quiet and peaceful, and it really felt like a little forest adventure for the kids. Our favorite part was sitting by the fire at night, talking and relaxing together.
Sunny was a wonderful host. She was warm, responsive, and helpful whenever I had a question, but also gave us plenty of privacy. Her two friendly dogs were a huge hit with the kids and made the place feel even more welcoming.
I left feeling rested, my kids had a great time, and I would happily come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, nature-filled getaway.

Weekend Trip to The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest
We had a wonderful stay at the Stargazer tiny cabin. It was incredibly cozy, warm and clean. The cabin had every amenity we needed, and Ian provided clear instructions for everything. He responded to all of our requests quickly and kindly, which made our stay even better.
One of the highlights was looking up at the stars at night. It was absolutely fantastic! Aaron’s Beach and Haven Beach were only 3–5 minutes away, and we had the best time there with our dog.
This was truly one of our best stays, and I strongly recommend Ian’s place. We will definitely be back!

Great little spot to stay and a really communicative and helpful host! Other reviews have mentioned that the house felt damp - hate to break it to you but thats just kinda what its like in that part of CA in late fall and over the winter. I thought it was really well looked after and nicely equipped, and comfy enough for 3 to sleep in.

We stayed in one of the tiny glamping cabins and absolutely loved it. It is a simple little wooden box with a full-size bed you crawl into, and it ended up being the perfect cozy nest for the night. There was enough room to sit up, stash our gear, and our dog fit comfortably with us. It was a cold night, but our sleeping bags plus the structure kept us warm, and the sound of rain on the tin roof was unreal.
Check-in was easy and the cabin was simple to find. It was clean in that ideal glamping way: not spotless, just naturally rustic and comfortable.
The location is incredibly quiet and peaceful. We heard the occasional bit of road noise from a distant back country road, but nothing distracting. The sites are spaced far apart, so everything feels private.
The host was wonderful. They gave us plenty of space but were also happy to chat with my husband about permaculture and building ponds.
My favorite part of the stay was climbing into the web at night to look at the stars. It felt magical. The outhouse was also surprisingly nice, which was a great little bonus.
Would absolutely come back. This place just has something special! ✨

3 nights at Comptche Matrix @ Sunny-land
Sunny is so sweet and this place is so charming! I had a lovely time staying here while visiting Mendocino, which is about 40 mins away. There were a couple things I was anxious about - windey roads and the steep driveway to get down to Sunny’s land - but all turned out fine and she put me right at ease. The cabin itself is very cute, outdoor kitchen and shower well functioning, and the dogs kept me company when I was by myself at night!
