Enjoy this beautiful land and gardens in our new geo dome! This dome is nestled in the lush succulent and cacti gardens and has beautiful sunset views. On the property are two large greenhouses that were originally built by Herman Schwartz in the 70s. The greenhouses were abandon for many years and are undergoing restoration, however, they are still magnificent with some cacti being 40-50 years old! Guests are welcome to tour them and the property where there is also a beautiful pond. This property is the perfect peaceful getaway. In the dome, we have floor pads, a space heater, side tables and a lamp. We advise to bring your own bedding. Temperatures do drop so please plan accordingly. Bathrooms with sinks are near the dome. During the week, we have an outdoor preschool on the property so you might see little tables and play areas around the land.

Our 16-foot geodesic dome was built on a secluded portion of the property. This is a studio with a queen bed and a sofa bed that folds out to a full size bed. Please note this is truly a glamping experience but we have done our best to offer some amenities and make it as comfortable as possible. This is perfect for a couple or small family looking for a luxury camping experience. We are a short 5-minute drive to downtown Idyllwild. There are hiking trails within walking distance from the property. Or choose to get away from it all with a peaceful visit to Moon Pine Cabin. Immerse yourself amongst the trees in this cozy cabin with multi-level views that can be enjoyed from the sweeping deck perched in the trees or the elevated yoga deck, off of the master bedroom. Our Desert Domestead

Learn more about this land: Inspired by our love of the desert fauna and the night sky, the Kosmic Tortoise dome tent is located in Wonder Valley, 20 mins from the east entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. We are one of only two inspected and permitted glamping sites in the Joshua Tree area. The tent is situated at the rear of our property with a private road and unobstructed mountain views. Can’t decide between sunrises and sunsets, well here you don’t have to. On any given day they range from spectacular to mind-blowing. If stargazing is your thing, you won’t be disappointed, on a good night you can see the Milky Way.
