Reserve Cave Creek campgrounds to explore Arizona’s best hiking trails in Tonto National Forest.
In the foothills of Arizona’s most scenic national parks, Cave Creek puts campers near the best of the Sonoran Desert. Ride horses on equestrian trails in Cave Creek Regional Park during a stay at in-town campgrounds with cabin rentals and RV sites with electrical hookups. Cool down on a day trip to Lake Pleasant Regional Park for boating and bass fishing. There are also lakeside campgrounds in the park that have group picnic areas, barbecue grills, and flush toilets. Tent campers may enjoy the more primitive campsites by the water near hot showers and picnic tables. Miles of hiking trails take campers along the Mogollon Rim in nearby Tonto National Forest, Arizona’s largest recreational park. Keep a lookout for wild horses! Stay in pack-in, pack-out sites, or reserve campsites in public campgrounds outside of the forest with firepits and dump stations for RV camping. Choose from modern sites with electric and water hookups or primitive tent camping for self-contained vehicles near boat ramps and biking trails.
