5 nights at Gila River View
This was one of the best places we've ever stayed! The host, Amber, was incredible and made sure we had everything we needed. The area is secluded and private and we never heard any noise other than nature. We loved that it's a working cattle ranch with horses, cattle, and pigs. The animals were all friendly and never bothered us. Oh, there was a very friendly barn cat that did snuggle with us a bunch! The camper was an amazing accommodation that offered everything we needed for an indoor experience and sleeping.
The hiking opportunities are endless here! With just a 10 minute hike you can be on the top of a mountain overlooking 2 different valleys that the Gila river runs through. In about a 20-25ish minute hike you can make it from the camp clear into a hidden valley on the back side and make it right up to a secret spot next to the Gila river. We spent half a day at this spot relaxing and enjoying the weather and nature!
It's about a 10 minute drive to the nearest town for any supplies or if you want a restaurant. We only went once to get more drinking water and we were back at camp within the hour!
We will definitely stay here again! We love the place and it's less than 2 hours from our house!

I really loved my time at the Gypsy King cottage! What a beautiful and well thought out space to stay in. Russell was a very good host and communicated promptly when I reached out to him. The cabin and the property is so peaceful absolutely gorgeous! I hope to come back and stay for longer next time. I didn’t have the time to try the sauna. My dog loved the fenced in yard and made good friends with the neighbors adorable blue and red heelers!

Weekend Trip to Gypsy’s Cottage
Russell’s cottage matches the photos, clean while also cozy. The cob structure is really beautiful, and fire wood provided was so nice. A wood fired sauna is a treat and an outdoor bath, looking towards the Big Dipper was very special! This is a precious place to stay, and there’s lots of incredible hiking, climbing, and mountain biking with an hour drive. Also the neighbor dogs came to visit which we loved. Thank you Russell and hope to visit again sometime.

All I can say is wow! Our experience staying at this cottage was everything we could have wanted it to be and more. The views cannot be overstated, the bed was so cozy, and the cottage itself was so unique and homey. We were sad when it came time to leave! During our stay, we weren’t sure if we wanted to go to the parks or just stay at the cottage. Russell is an incredible host. I messaged him twice with questions, and both times, he answered within a few minutes. You definitely feel that you’re in the country, but town is just ten minutes away for food and groceries. I very highly recommend staying here!

8 nights at Gypsy’s Cottage
Such an under the radar gem of a place close by Zion with its own slot Canyon locally and the sauna in the back with the outdoor bathtub to cool off in afterwards is a huge plus.
You can tell the owner is a contractor because of the care and design with which he built this house himself. It really doesn't come across in the pictures how nicely finished it is.

I only stayed a few days at the cabin, but it was perfect for me and my pup! Directions to get there were spot on, it was quiet, cozy, and all of our needs were met. I loved the fenced in area for my dog (even tho he just wanted to eat the rocks and mulch) but he’s never been able to have that large amount of freedom so he was happy. It was in close proximity to a store for supplies too which was nice, and also close to the pink coral sand dunes and somewhat close to Zion. Russell was so kind and quick to respond to any questions I had, which I really appreciated. I think the best part though was the fact that there was no cell service for me (even though there was fast wifi) so if you’re looking for a place to unplug and unwind for a spell, this is it!! :)

Coolest Hipcamp of our cross country trip for sure. The host put a lot of care into making it comfortable and interesting. Was perfect for our transit from Grand Canyon to Zion.
The host Russell went out of his way for us, even took time to mail us a hat we accidentally left behind. Great guy!
