Donated to the US Forest Service for all to enjoy, Jerry Walker Cabin is a rustic abode in the heart of the Nez Perce National Forest.
It’s got two bedrooms, a living room, fireplace and a kitchen with a wood stove. The cabin has an outdoor bathroom, but no running water. The best part about staying here is there’s a nice hiking trail just behind the cabin and there are several lakes within a three mile radius that are accessible by foot or ATV. You can also drop in on nearby Orogrande, a historical mining town where the original hotel still stands.
