Twin Lakes Campground is nestled high in the woods in an area that is lush, scenic, and absolutely perfect for tent camping.
While you won’t find drinkable water here, there’s restrooms, fire rings, tables for picnicking, and three horse corrals. Backpackers wanting to hike the 26.2 mile Skyline Trail will find a trailhead here, along with the most beautiful vistas, according to the locals, in all of Southern Idaho!
Not even one lake at Twin Lakes Campground. Crowded (August) and super noisy and smelled of gas from all the ATVs. Left promptly once someone told me about nearby Cleveland Lake campground. Also very full, but much nicer on a lake. Most suitable for tent camping. I had a hard time sleeping in my camper van because only place to park is right on the campground road, so lights and cars going in and out until midnight.
