Minidoka County Fairgrounds: The fairgrounds are located East of Rupert encompassing an area of approximately sixty-five acres. The grounds includes a rodeo arena, display buildings (antique building, a commercial building, 4-H building), and open air pavilion for livestock shows, family reunions, and other community events. Hidden behind the main grounds is our small and quaint campground in a groomed grassy field. with a spectacular view of Mount Harrison.
The Minidoka County Fair held the first week in August and includes a full week of events including entertainment, open class exhibits, food, rodeo, 4-H and FFA livestock shows. Numerous events are held at the fairgrounds throughout the year including Moto-X races, rodeos, auctions, 4-H events. weddings, horseshows, family reunions, and more. Note-Dates have been blocked for these events. We are fortunate to have this multi-purpose facility for use in our community.

Oakley is a Great town to visit. Oakley features Victorian style houses built in the 1800s which are very amazing to look at. There’s also a great new swimming pool and park to visit with a playground. We are also located 15 minutes away from the world famous City of Rocks National Park and Castle Rocks National Park. We have beautiful sunsets almost every night. We also are 10 minutes away from the Oakley Reservoir which has great fishing and kayaking there’s plenty of mountain roads to adventure on and see wildlife.

What to Expect
- Country landscaping with native plants and pollinator-friendly “weeds.” Goathead stickers are common in rural Idaho.

- Yardwork happens around our schedules and between guests.
Garden & Fruit
From July to October, guests may enjoy cherries, raspberries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, and apples—depending on weather and timing. Just ask before picking, as not all fruit may be ripe or reachable.

Our property is 4 miles from BLM, 5 miles from the Mammoth caves and 10 miles from the Ice Caves. You may be greeted by horses, cattle or dogs on our property, and it's quite possible that you will encounter snakes 🐍 and hear coyotes at night (light sleepers take this into account). We do not have designated areas but, please don’t block the turn around area to the far south, please park wherever you desire, walk your route as this virgin ground has many rocks. 🪨 If leveling is an issue & you need to block the road, let’s verify we have no other campers coming.
There is a runoff river that runs through the property in the early spring but, rarely has water, however, it has amazing lava rock (similar to Black Magic Canyon which isn’t far away); We also like to use it for campfires! Do not drive into the river bottom unless you have 4WD.

We raise Wagyu beef & offer liver dog treats, sourdough bread, we often have dozens of eggs on hand from a local chicken farmer and I make tallow lotion with a dear friend! There is very little noise and traffic and the night sky is amazing!!We're located one mile from US-93 and 10 minute driving distance to Twin Falls for fun shopping, great bars and restaurants, and historic hotsprings within the area. Just a mile up the road are the fish ponds, a great place to explore and get the catch of the day or head down to the Snake River for more water related opportunities. There is excellent outdoor recreation any season of the year. The great Snake River canyon is 2 miles away with nearby Nationally Recognized Shoshone Falls, the Niagra of the West, with a drop of nearly 500 feet.We truly live in an amazing part of the world! Nearly every day of the year you can watch the BASE jumpers from the Perrine bridge, one of the only legal places in the country. You name it, you can do it here. We're only a few hours from Yellowstone National Park and historic Sun Valley is 90 mins north or the famous City of Rocks rock climbing area can be found south of here.About 45 minutes to an hour north of here is Craters of the Moon National Monument for some excellent caving hiking and exploring.We use this area for storing vehicles or riding toys so please be respectful of our homes and the neighbors.

Beautiful spot with a great view of City of Rocks and easy access to climbing areas. The campground was well laid out and everything was in good repair. It looked like they were working on improvements for next season - building nice little shade/ wind breaks in the tent sites. Cell coverage was weak in spots between I-84 and Almo when coming from the south so make sure you download directions.

The location was really close to the park entrance. Owner was super friendly and I was able to plug my motorcycle trickle charge in at the tent site since they provide 15amp plugs. I'd totally stay again when I come back to the area.

Really enjoyed our stay at Marni’s site! It had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stop - potable water, a nice campfire area, and a safe, quiet spot before heading down to Lake Tahoe. The two pygmy goats were adorable, and Tonks the kitty totally stole the show - she’s so friendly and social, and made the whole experience extra fun (and hilarious). Marni was an awesome host - super chill, welcoming, and attentive. Would definitely stay again!

The Burley Field Office should be called the Burley Smorgasbord Office; there is so much incredible scenery and outdoor adventure awaiting, that you’ll want to stay until you’ve explored it all. Classic Idaho adventure awaits! Hike into the Cotterel Mountains, or discover a part of the Oregon Trail. Yes, THAT Oregon Trail. Altough, there’s no need to ford your oxen across the Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir. Instead you’ll be fishin’ that baby for some of the best trout and salmon in the state! Even in the wintertime, ice fishing will keep you pumped, and there’s plenty of trails to be turned at Magic Mountain. Fauna enthusiasts will enjoy adventures into Rock Creek Canyon and Electric Spring, and those who just wants to kick it and enjoy some hammock time are sure to find a comfy spot at one the areas campgrounds. See, no field office here, just a smorgasbord of fun at Burley!

Snake River Vista Recreation Site Campground
Easy to find and access right off the hiway - and with the brush and trees felt super private and wild even with occasional traffic noise - still insulated from the rest of the world.
Nature vibes … saw a moose right across the stream roll out and munch on some branches, gorgeous winding stream at the campground edge.

The Snake River Vista is a lovely place to find solitude, isolation, & good photography. The visible local wildlife at the Snake River Vista is Pelican, Seagulls and a few others. The silence, the bird calls, the gently tossed water is a natural zone of perfect Zen. In addition to fishing and boating, the Snake River Vista Recreation Site has two free camp sites. The 1st campsite is small & located off the trails to the left. The 2nd campsite is off to the right on flat land near the bathroom. Each free campsite has a fire pit with grill & a large picnic table. Two polite park rangers checked in on me to make sure I was not stranded.
