Once summertime hits, and the snow has finally melted from the mountain peaks, the beauty of Meadow Lake Campground is ready and waiting to be explored.
Pitch your tent or park your RV amongst the impressive evergreen trees right next to the crystal-clear Meadow Lake (well-stocked with rainbow trout for all the fishers out there). The real attraction here is the rugged peaks of the Lemhi Mountains which surround the alpine lake with their stunning grey hue. Keep your eyes peeled for the occasional mountain goat hopping across the rocks!
We have camped at Meadow Lake several times over the last 15 years. The campground is at 9100 feet, the highest in Idaho. Recently upgraded campsites right on crystal wait tclear Meadow Lake. Go during the week and you will have the campground almost to yourself. Gilmore ghost town is a great way to spend some time exploring. Fishing is good for some delicious rainbow trout. We are going this summer and can't wait to get up there and chill for a few days. Check it out and enjoy!
