Our home was built by Mr. J. L. and Mrs. Gladys Keys in the 1970's. Mrs. Gladys used to work for my Grandmother at the local ladies dress shop. She and her husband often brought us fresh vegetables they raised on their "little piece of heaven." They had no children and all these years later, their idea of heaven became ours to take care of now. We are so blessed here at Payne Lane Farms.
You can safely camp in your travel trailer minutes off of I-20 on our wooded, rural lot minutes from town, convenience stores, food, and even dump stations.
The front orchard provides a refuge of shade and privacy while also allowing you to see everything around you. Rayville, Louisiana has great history and heritage and some fun artifacts to explore if you have an adventurous spirit. Good people and family owned businesses if services are needed while enroute-traveling.

Pull thru the front by turning to right of the mail box and not using the driveway! Maybe a little off road, but this is the country and it won’t hurt to just drive thru the yard sometimes.
Fresh eggs for sale $3.50 dozen and maybe some fresh vegetables at $3.00 per pound, but ask us as we don't push them. Canning pantry does have inventory for easy meals.

Off leash is fantastic as long as your good with it. Lots of room to run. Jon boats with motors, Kayaks and ATV's always ok. Large stretches of sand bars when water permits. Not far from I-20. Great cell reception. Good restaurant down the road in Bovina. Loves truck stop just down the road. The existing road going in "Vickors Rd" can be bumpy, dusty, wet and may hold pools of water at times but the road itself is solid and will support the heaviest of vehicles.

The historic French built antebellum plantation home and gardens was built circa 1793-1820. The home and gardens is located on the Ouachita River. I built a culinary herb farm and nursery on the plantation grounds, in which I was named after by my family. My farm is called Louisiana Herbs LLC. Their are plenty of great sites to pitch a tent and camp in the plantation gardens or on the river bank. You may fish, boat, swim, etc. Suggested early winter to late spring for camping - Louisiana can be a bit hot and humid in the warmer months. We can wine and dine you at the plantation dinner table with home cooked Louisiana cuisine (optional for an extra cost) & get you liquored up with mint juleps, homemade absinthe, mix drinks, etc. anywhere on the plantation grounds is acceptable to pitch a tent and make a campfire. we can provide wood, & possible minimal electricity to your camp area for now. there is access to water at the greenhouse area, as well as electricity. the greenhouse is a culinary herb farm and nursery, no smoking tobacco near the nursery and greenhouse area.

Awesome host! Sometimes when you pull up late at night, you never know what you’re going to find. Scott was there to greet us and do everything he could to make sure we were comfortable. It was cold, rainy and he went above and beyond.The directions were easy and helpful. The campsite was incredibly spacious, easy to pull through and hookup to electric/water. No issues whatsoever and very simple to do yourself and in the dark which is why Scott’s assistance was even more notable. We would stay again and would recommend!

What an amazing campsite. Scott, the host, was incredible and super friendly and knowledgable. There is a beautiful lake on site where campers can fish and hike, and the place is super clean, quiet, and secluded. The amenities are super clean and pleasant. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely come back and visit Scott and his campsite.

Scott was very respectful, and we felt safe at Black River Campsite. He was very committed to making the camping experience a good one. The road coming in is a bit bumpy and tough in a vehicle with low ground clearance, but not impossible. Just gotta take it slow. The site was perfectly level and good for a car camper. Showers were awesome, warm, and he keeps things very clean! Gorgeous views too and nice little hiking trails, fishing spots.

Host Jen was quick to reply to my concerns. She offered a resolution that, though it would have cost me quite a bit more, would have helped me out with a detail I missed in the listing. When that resolution turned out to be unavailable at the last minute, Jen helpfully reminded me that it was my mistake in the first place and honored the original charge with no further inconvenience to the host. I wasn’t able to use the reservation or be refunded, however intend to book these accommodations again when my attention to detail improves! (Thanks Jen for the good advice!) Even as a self-described new host with a recently purchased and expensive property, she is very committed to justice and it’s always so refreshing to meet someone who keeps us on our toes! Immaculate mowed lawn area perfect for a tent. Bucolic setting on a small farm. No picnic tables but I used my camping table and it was fine. I did see a fire ring. Bugs disappeared after sunset and temps dropped. Refreshing and relaxing overnight stay with wifi and a shower.

I enjoyed my stay at Williams. I had the place to myself for the night. It was very nice to allow my dog to run free off the leash. The summer heat in September was still in the 90s, but the outside shower came in clutch to cool off and refresh. It was the first time my dog saw a horse! I think shes mesmerized. Only downside would be the bugs. Make sure you bring some spray. I didn't realize how bad I got chewed on until a few days later. There is a train that passes by so be aware of that for anyone that's trying to completely get away from city life.

Thousands of acres of pure fun! From fishing to water-skiing, birdwatching to swimming, Poverty Point Reservoir State Park has got it all for your summer vacay. Take the afternoon to paddle down the Bayou Macon, a cool 6.5 mile trail that cruises through the woods of the Deep South. Great for avid kayakers, perfect for rowing newbies. If you want to see the Bayou by foot, walk the nature trail, or just kick back on your private deck at one of the reservable cabins or lodges and take in the views. Keep your radar on the water long enough and you’ll see white pelicans, egrets, and storks! Cypress trees and spanish moss make this Northern Louisiana landscape green and dense, but this park is conveniently close to the historic downtown of Delhi. So, pack up your oars and head to the Bayou where the water is lovely and the wildlife is happenin’!
