Old growth shaded and well maintained land on Big Black river. 4 RV sites 8 primitive sites. 110 Power and water. Generator's are fine as well. Best catfishing in the state. No fishing license required. Borders Big Black civil war battlefield. Pets are always welcome. Jon boats with motors, Kayaks and ATV's always ok. Large stretches of sand bars when water permits. Not far from I-20. Great cell reception. Good restaurant down the road in Bovina. Loves truck stop just down the road.Camping is available at campers choice of ground. 4 acres on Big Black river. All old growth shaded area with fantastic fishing and large stretches of sand bar when river levels permit which is most of the year. ATVs welcome. Off leash pet friendly. Power and water hookups available at 6 locations.

Great campsite!
The campground was very spacious, and I thought it neat that he had an outdoor camp kitchen set up complete with dishes. It was quiet, and the electricity worked great. Just FYI, the narrow, winding road getting in can be rough. And when it rains, there are large mud puddles, some of which reach across the road. Even after rain, these puddles are not soggy, and the ground is very solid. A two-wheel drive vehicle can manage the road. We stayed there twice about a week apart. Would highly recommend.

I think camp leatherneck was a great spot. Lots of room, power, water, some tables and shelters prebuilt. My group and I really enjoyed the spot. Definitely will be back!
