Big Rig access has always been limited in the City of Rocks so we made every site large with pull thru access. Public RV dump station is only 1 mile away. Oakley is a Great town to visit. Oakley features Victorian style houses built in the 1800s which are very amazing to look at. There’s also a great new swimming pool and park to visit with a playground. We are also located 15 minutes away from the world famous City of Rocks National Park and Castle Rocks National Park. We have beautiful sunsets almost every night. We also are 10 minutes away from the Oakley Reservoir which has great fishing and kayaking there’s plenty of mountain roads to adventure on and see wildlife.

Minidoka County Fairgrounds: The fairgrounds are located East of Rupert encompassing an area of approximately sixty-five acres. The grounds includes a rodeo arena, display buildings (antique building, a commercial building, 4-H building), and open air pavilion for livestock shows, family reunions, and other community events. Hidden behind the main grounds is our small and quaint campground in a groomed grassy field. with a spectacular view of Mount Harrison.
The Minidoka County Fair held the first week in August and includes a full week of events including entertainment, open class exhibits, food, rodeo, 4-H and FFA livestock shows. Numerous events are held at the fairgrounds throughout the year including Moto-X races, rodeos, auctions, 4-H events. weddings, horseshows, family reunions, and more. Note-Dates have been blocked for these events. We are fortunate to have this multi-purpose facility for use in our community.

Beautiful spot with a great view of City of Rocks and easy access to climbing areas. The campground was well laid out and everything was in good repair. It looked like they were working on improvements for next season - building nice little shade/ wind breaks in the tent sites. Cell coverage was weak in spots between I-84 and Almo when coming from the south so make sure you download directions.

This was a great place for a quick overnight as we roadtripped through the Twin Falls area. The offering of a bathroom and water was really nice. The space was flat for a tent. We enjoyed playing with one of the cats, who was very friendly. The goats were fun, and quiet at night. For directions, using the address via copy/past was correct in Google Maps but for some reason the loaded link through Hip Camp took as a way that ended at a different farm (could have been user error on our part!)

Really cool spot. It looks like a giant dropped a random handful of granite domes in the middle of miles of range land. I didn't climb there but it looks like some classic crack and face lines.

An amazing area of geologic structures. It must have been quite a difference for those coming from Missouri. It's very easy to drive through with many areas to get out and explore.

It was an amazing place to visit. Enjoyed the views. Nice hiking trails. Hot springs in town was a plus. Only negative is people drive very fast on the dirt roads.

City of Rocks Campground
The City of Rocks is a special place. Beautiful stars. Moose, mule deer, amazing sunrises & sunsets. Trails to hike for days! The nights get bitter cold! BITTER COLD due to the wind that pics up at night. Camping spots are well spaced out. You really cant go wrong with any one of these spots.

Magical little out of the way place in the south central Idaho high desert. Popular for rock climbing, some mountain biking, trail running, bird watching. Get a homemade pizza at Rock City Mercantile in town and the best remote beer selection ever. It's hot in the summer, but perfect in spring and fall.

One of the most gorgeous places I have ever camped, and that was when I was only 11 years old. Huge sites, I could boulder and scramble on the gorgeous rock within the perimeter of mine. Beautiful wilderness to explore and great rock climbing.
