    Visiting the Hocking Hills ? No interest in crowded campgrounds ? you have found 75 acres mostly wooded with trails right at the start of the Hocking Hills. (easy access from 33 and to Logan) There are various places around the property to pitch a tent. There are also options for RV parking with no hookups as well as a site with 30/50 amp. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. If you are traveling with an RV, the Sunny Rest location is the best with campfire. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Apple product GPS will not get you to this location, use the pin on Google Maps.

    The Flying J Farm is 250 beautiful rolling acres including 100 acres of forest, 6-acre lake small pond, three streams, and numerous fields for crops and pastures with cows. The owner bought the farm in 1998 for his retirement from a faculty position at the Ohio State university. Two buildings, the farm house and old barn, are original dating back to 1831. These have been restored for current use. The mission of the farm is to restore health both in people though the products produced and in the land by farming in a sustainable way with no conventional chemicals, antibiotics, and use of GMO. We host many visitors including tours and events. An on farm market is available to visitors for purchase of our products including grass-fed beef, maple syrup, and fruits and vegetables. The cabin was built using wood from the farm. It has off-grid electricity meaning it is powered by batteries charged by solar panels. There is not sufficient power for devices with a heating element such as coffee makers and hair dryers. You may charge cell phones. For any other use, please check with the owner. Wild Life. There is an abundance of wildlife to be observed on the farm. Deer can be seen at dusk, raccoons can be seen going through your camp food at night (if you put it in your car), turkeys, hawks, vultures, rabbits, coyotes (heard screaming at night), frogs (especially heard at night), fish (jumping), and many song birds (my favorite, the bobolink, May and June only, nesting in the pastures). Trash. This sustainable farm has no garbage hauling, please carry away your trash.

Summer brings on the bullfrogs, butterflies, dragonflies and fireflies. Fall is a great time to pull grapevine to make wreaths & to build stick forts in the woods. We cater to the tent camper so that we can hear frogs & owls instead of generators. But, there is an RV section up front for those with quiet generators with several feet of gravel under the grass to hold the weight of your camper. We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). We believe in going outside to play, growing & eating fresh food, strengthening family bonds and promoting the awareness of our natural resources. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) The speed limit is 5 mph as soon as you enter the property (kids & dogs are quick to dart in front of you). 2) As a state registered campground, it is mandatory that you check in at the house to fill out a Registration Form before heading to your campsite. 3) No glass allowed anywhere on the property (we don't want our feet or paws cut open and can do without flat tires). 4) Children under 18 must be attended to at all times for their safety (the frog pool is 10' deep, the pond is 8-10' deep depending on rains, and the creek can turn into a churning river).     McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep. Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy. The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time. Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table. Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone. In October and November, access to hiking is limited.

We are located 9 miles from Laurelville, 16.4 miles from Logan, 17 miles from Lancaster, 19 miles from Circleville, where stores and dinning are abundant and easily accessible. The property is full of wildlife and magnificent views and rainbows galore, with minimal light pollution, our night sky's are spectacular. We are within a 30 minutes drive of all of Hocking Hills State Parks, Nature preserves and so much more. Hocking Hills features beautiful towering cliffs, thrilling waterfalls, and deep, hemlock-shaded gorges. With stunning ice formations in winter, wildflowers adorning the forest floor in springtime and vivid foliage in the fall, hikers and nature lovers have plenty to enjoy in this awe-inspiring area. Other local activities include, rock climbing, ziplining, ATV/UTV Rentals and tours, along with Canoe/Kayaking on the hocking river, horseback riding and so much more. Southern Ohio offers some amazing roads for motorcycle rides, including the Hocking Hills Scenic Byway, The Windy 9, The Triple Nickel and Three Rivers . Please message me on the morning of your stay with an ETA so I can make sure I'm here to great you. RVers if you are coming in from US Rte 33 please use Buena Vista Rd. Buena Vista Rd is one exit after Oppossum Hollow if you are heading East on 33 and also one exit pass 374 if you are heading West on 33. GPS will usually route you onto Oppossum Hollow Rd or State Rte 374. The State Rte 374 route will have you turn onto Oppossum Hollow. Oppossum Hollow road is a one lane unlined rd and is not the best for RVs. Taking Buena Vista Rd will only add about a mile and a few minutes to your trip. Be advised Buena Vista is a very curvey road but is traveled by large vehicles all the time. Just take it slow and you will be fine. We have a dully truck and 45 ft rig that we bring in and out just fine. If you are coming in from the South (Chillicothe area.) From State Rte 180, please take Jack Run Rd. This is also a paved two lane road. All other roads in the area are single lane rds and are not the best for RVs (don't use Middlefork, Long Run, Stump Run, or Clapper Hollow off of State Rte 180). Wildlife is abundant and they prefer to be left alone. Please stay on the trails to preserve all vegetation. If you see a fawn or other babies, please do not touch these animals. Momma will be back! If you see one in distress, please contact the host. The community area at the gazebo offers a charcoal grill (charcoal available for purchase), seating, electric outlets, and water. Please be considerate to other guest while using this area. Trash receptacles are available at different areas on the property. Fresh eggs and produce will be available when in season. Please ask if you are interested. Campsites are located in the woods and are primitive. Sites include picnic table, fire pit, and trash can. Campers have access to a bathroom with a shower that is located in the basement of the cabin. All campers need to check-in with the on-site owners. All gear can be transported with a golf cart. Fairhaven - Cabin on the Pond can also be rented on the Airbnb website. Local attractions Springfield: Mad River canoeing/tubing/kayaking, Buck Creek State Park, ECO Sports Corridor Whitewater Park, Frank Lloyd Wright's Westcott House, Mad River Gorge, Cedar Bog Nature Preserve, George Rogers Clark Park - which has nearly 240 acres of hiking trails and license-free fishing. Wittenberg is a Lutheran-affiliated liberal arts college with a national reputation for excellent academic standards, a strong athletic tradition, and is widely known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Mother Stewarts Brewing is located downtown as well as many great restaurants and shops. Yellow Springs: With a bike trail that is part of a 360 mile paved system in southwest Ohio and 2000 acres of preserved woodland to the east, Yellow Springs is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Explore over fifty small locally owned boutiques featuring one of a kind merchandise from handcrafted pottery to custom designed jewelry to designer shoes. A truly unique shopping experience. Urbana: Nice small town with lots of shops and restaurants in the square. Freshwater Farms of Ohio is the largest indoor fish hatchery in the state of Ohio. Pick up some trout and check out the sturgeon petting zoo with the kiddos! Dayton: It’s home to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, with a vast collection of aircraft from early 1900s planes to a space shuttle exhibit. Dogs are harmless but do bark when they do not know you... City of Springfield is less than three miles away. A Sheets and Loves Truckstop are 300 yards away with the Loves having a dump station. Next door to this property is a BP Station and Carryout. The Loves Truckstop has a Wendys, Subway, and dog park. Sheets also has a food court. All within walking distance. Great location as Columbus is 30 min to the east, Dayton is 25 min to the west. 13 min to I 675 and 20 min to Interstate 75 N/S. I 71 N/S Columbus is 35 min away in downtown Columbus... NOTE: Little over a quarter of a mile off of Interstate 70, and on a State Route, If looking for absolute silence and desolation, this is not for you. Back off of the road but all the sounds carry.....

You don't have to be an experienced fisherman to catch a fish in this pond! Swimming, kayaking, paddle boat, cornhole, small beach area for the little ones, and 2 acres of wooded trails for those who enjoy a peaceful walk. Wildlife is abundant and they prefer to be left alone. Please stay on the trails to preserve all vegetation. If you see a fawn or other babies, please do not touch these animals. Momma will be back!     We lost access to stuff like this with Airbnb not hosting tent campsites anymore, Hipcamp sure makes it easy! We found the perfect site for the 2 of us. Site 4 was STEEP to get up so make sure you have a 4x4-it was fun for us. Quiet, secluded, and 12 mins to pretty much everything around. Definitely will be coming back!

    This is our second time here and we had a great time. It wide awake pretty and quiet. Mostly secluded but not completely - other campsite within earshot and view so keep that in mind. Had WiFi but only worked if you walked down to the main house area. Nice that it has a real toilet, a place to wash dishes and a shower area.

    This is perhaps the nicest spot we have found. The property is a perfect spot. Quiet, well taken care of, and so relaxing. Everything you could want is there to enjoy. Our hosts couldn’t have been any nicer or accommodating. the gravel pad is super nice, no tracking in dirt. There is a quiet trail through the woods too. The deer come buy at night to feed. Totally enjoyed this hidden gem and our hosts!

    One of the best campsites we have been to so far. Back in the woods nestled on the side of a hill with a view of the ravine and creek. We loved that it was the only site on the property and was very private. Having a campsite stick out is hard because they are a lot of times very similar, but the large fire ring, trash bag lift, wood chopping logs, plenty of flat tent spots, and great view really make this place stand out. We can’t wait to come back and explore more. Thanks for hosting us

    I absolutely loved staying at McKee farm. It was peaceful and beautiful and exactly what I needed! The hostess was so kind and flexible, even offing me a choice of alternative sites when there was farm work happening near my original one. My city dogs especially loved having free rein to run as long and far as they wanted and devour all the new smells. It was very hot during the day when I visited; however, I would definitely return in cooler weather and the stargazing and sunsets can be beat!

    The owner was marvelous. You could just tell she wanted you to enjoy her space as much as she did. There was a pollinator garden (we need so many more of these), Monarchs everywhere, a trail through some woods, fire rings and a porta potty. What more do you need? Well apart from a tent. Will 100% stay again and 100% recommend if rustic is your bag.

    Site 9 was absolutely serene. From the drive in all the way to the site. Peaceful, nostalgic, timeless. A beautiful spot away from the rest. I hung my hammock and just let go of the whole world. Plenty of room for the truck, tents if you had a few, and the picnic table was great to setup on. Highly recommended.

    The site was clean and plenty of firewood. Jim was great again, He pulled our little popup to the site while we went to grab a bite to eat. He then gave us a ride up and on saturday he even took us to look at one of the other sites. Go book this hipcamp and enjoy nature nude and hike the trails nude.

    This campsite is GORGEOUS. Acres of land to wander, multiple great sites for hammocks and tents. Incredibly secluded, far from the owners' house and tons of trees for privacy. The stream was mostly dry thanks to the recent drought, but we still managed to get water for emergency fire extinguishing. There were a couple benches, a good table, a really nice fire ring, and even a little shovel (the site is truly primitive, you might need that shovel). We could hear Route 62, but it was quiet overnight and the sleeping was excellent. 10/10 will book again!

    Beautiful location and quiet (with the exception of the Canadian geese that landed on the pond at 11pm). Scenic and well maintained. Richard and Ruby (their retriever) were very nice and quick to respond on Hipcamp. I don't think there was a bad site to camp, trails for hiking, not too far out of town but far enough to be secluded. Can't wait to go out again!

    Madden Farm has been in the Madden family and its descendants for seven generations. The original farmhouse on Madden Farm dates back to the 1860s. In 1980, a second dwelling was added to the property when a cabin on a nearby farm was moved across the fields and placed near Madden Pond. In recent years, the family has endeavored to be good stewards of the land by planting trees, growing fruits and vegetables while incorporating sustainable practices. Also of interest, since 2014, family members from Madden Farm have hosted the Madden Road Music Fest, a one-day music festival held annually on the second Saturday in August. Our camping sites are secluded, offering a variety of shade and sunshine. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Connected to the sites, we have walking trails that meander through woods where you'll see a variety of trees and wildflowers. What was an Alfalfa (medicago sativa) field lain fallow for seven years, would soon have bigger ambitions. After walking the meadow and feeling the magic of place, Olivia and Erik began the work of designing. Shortly thereafter, they set off across the US, staying at various permaculture oriented farms; with herbalists, seed savers and more, looking for inspiration and learning everything they could along the way.     These newly updated gravel RV sites are located in the Hocking Hills area. Just a short distance away from Ash Cave and Old Man's Cave. Other parks nearby are Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski State Forest, Tar Hollow State Forest, Cedar Falls and many more. Located right across the road is the Buckeye Trail that is walked by many hiking enthusiast through the hocking hills region. You can enjoy some peace and quiet at the end of the day around the fire or walking the nearby creek. Please be respectful of our neighbors and stay on your side of the creek. The creek is marked to the right with orange markers and to the left the property ends at the bridge. Pack it in, pack it out: Check your campsite for trash and leftover food, and pack if there is any please place them in the dumpster at the entrance. Please leave the property just like it was when you got there. There is no cell phone service in this area. We do have extended WiFi from the cabin now. After a long day of hiking grab a delicious burger from Jimbo's or a slice of heaven from Papa Dino's Pizzeria. It offers access to a charming downtown area, nearby hiking and mountain biking trails, and serenity within the cabin. The home features four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a half bathroom. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, with the additional bedrooms featuring a queen bed (upper), and two full beds (main and lower levels). The primary and lower-level bedrooms also feature a fold-out futon, providing sleeping accommodations for up to ten persons. All bedding is provided for your use. The recently remodeled bathrooms offer a walk-in shower on the main level and a double vanity with a soaking tub on the lower level. Extra towels are supplied in the lower-level bathroom. The upstairs bathroom is ½ bath only. The family room on the lower level provides a comfortable L-shaped couch with a TV and access to log in to your streaming services. The main level features an entryway den with an electric fireplace, a TV, and cozy seating. A working woodfire stove, a fire pit with seating for six, a 6-person hot tub, new grill, and whole-house WIFI are all also amenities at the cabin. The woods include groves and unique spaces to explore, and by 2026 the paths will be more fully formed for easier access. The hills throughout the property provide beautiful views, and the landscape is alive with ferns, moss, deer, pollinators, trees, and plants. Thanks to the excellent air and water quality, salamanders and toads also thrive here—though they may take a little searching to spot. During the day, the dappled light makes the site feel magical. The campsite includes a furnished yurt with a bed, fold-out couch, chair, table, and beverage bar for coffee, tea, and water. Propane burners and utensils are provided for cooking, along with an open-fire grill (removable from the fire pit if needed). The outhouse features a composting toilet, a wash area for hands and face, basic hygiene products, and potable water. Additional potable water is also available in the yurt. Solar lights along the trail, on the outhouse, and on the yurt create a warm, cozy atmosphere at night. This property is conveniently located within 20 minutes of the UNESCO World Heritage Hopewell Mound sites, Legend Valley, and Buckeye Lake (30 minutes), as well as OSU Newark, Denison University, the Longaberger Basket Building, and Dawes Arboretum. Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby, with a gas station and mini market just half a mile down the road. Columbus city center is about a 45–50 minute drive. The drive here follows scenic country roads, so please be mindful of winding turns and local wildlife along the way.     Nestled in the heart of the Hocking Hills Region, Hocking Vacations Campsites offer a rustic retreat for those seeking to reconnect with the great outdoors. Guests can enjoy the central location and the close proximity to Hocking Hills State Park, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Whispering Pines, Conkles Hollow, Rock House, and many more! Our campsites offer many amenities to make your back-to-basics experience a comfortable and convenient one. Each campsite is clearly marked and has a 10 x10 wooden PLATFORM with rings to tie down your tent, fire ring, picnic table, and EMERGENCY USE fire blanket. HIKE TO SITE - you will be hiking between 120 and 240 yards to the campsites from the parking area, uphill, and on uneven terrain of mulched paths. There is a shared pull cart available. Recommend you arrive before dark. The parking area is well lit and there is a solar light above the site name sign. PARKING-There is easy access from the road to assigned parking spots, where you will find a well-maintained area with potable water, solar lighting, port-a-potty, fire extinguisher, shared metal cart and informational sign. You will hike to your reserved and private campsite. If needed and available, there is a metal cart to aid you in transporting your supplies to your site. FIREWOOD – Firewood bundles are for sale at a nearby property. Hocking Vacations Campsites are large, cleared areas located amidst towering trees and surrounded by lush foliage. You will be walking to your site on paths cleared of trees and dense foliage. Wear appropriate shoes as the paths are grassy, uneven in places and may have small roots. Visitors are invited to embrace the simplicity and serenity of wilderness camping and create memories that will last a lifetime.
