Views galore. Your camp spot is on the bank of your own private dam with views over the fields, dam and reservoir. Your camping spot is private with no others campers. You can swim, kayak and fish from the dams on the property and the Wurdiboluc Reservoir is only a stones throw away and is a renowned fishing spot. There are great 4WD tracks located around the area and a short 15 minute trip to Torquay or Aireys Inlet, 10 minutes to Geelong and Winchelsea amenities are close by, but you will feel a world away from it all here. There is no toilet facilities at the camp ground, but you will find a public toilet about 400 meters from the camp site located at the Wurdale HallPitch your tent or park your van and enjoy the surrounding. Your camp spot is private, so no other campers will be around. It is on the bank of the bottom dam with views over the dam and reservoir. You can fish or yabbie in the southern dam on the property and the Wurdiboluc Reservoir is only a stones throw away and is a renowned fishing spot. This campsite best suits self-contained campers who bring their own toilet/shower and drinking water supply as this is not available as there are no bathroom or water facilities on-site. Whilst there are no toilet facilities on the property, there is a public toilet located at the Wurdale Hall located at 200 Wurdale Road, Winchelsea South, 3241 (remember to take your own loo paper). The dams have been stocked with trout, red fin and yellow belly. The Wurdibuloc reservoir is only a minute drive with views looking out over the reservoir. You are close to Winchelsea, Birregurra, Geelong and the Surf Coast only being fifteen minutes to the beach. There is ample bush walking, hiking, horse riding and 4WD tracks surrounding the property. There are highland cows and sheep located on the property who will come up and greet you. Well behaved dogs will be considered on application. If approved, they must always be a on a leash at all times as there are sheep and cows on the property. Please note this is a working property and there may be some truck, plant and equipment movement from time to time.

Serenity on a farm camp 💛
16 ft car
Beautiful property, views of the dam, rolling hills and surrounded by farm animals! Sunset was amazing, couldn’t ask for much more from a farm camp - cooking area, camp fire pit, hammock, kayak to use on the dam. Privacy from the main house - driveway easily accessible. Toilets just up at the hall.

Really lovely spot!
Tent · Group trip
What a beautiful spot! The campsite is very private and secluded and very spacious for big groups. The water isn't super clean and the cows poo/wee in it so we didn't swim but aside from that it was perfect for a stay!

Disappointed!!
22 ft travel trailer
While the jetty and the dam do look lovely, the fire pit surrounded by the log benches is a great - the surrounding area is all quite shabby and you’re just a few metres from the neighbouring property- we didn’t see any people but its sheds and farm equipment- you’re just wedged between too farms, rather than it being in the middle of nowhere - as the pictures make it seem. The whole site looked unkept and we’re average, basic campers. there were a couple of big wooden barrel/reel things that looked like they’re be thrown into the dam just sitting under the water, tins of tuna scattered along the dam edge (pretty sure from the yabby nets), a giant thistle/prickle bush in the middle of the camp area, like almost a metre high that my partner ended up digging out, 3 big blow up boats all deflated on the dam edge- looking like mote rubbish, Behind the site is a wooden platform that while is solid - it has what look like walls that have all fallen over making the whole thing look dodgey… and blackberry growing around it - the whole site just looked really unkept - and when you’re already paying more than other basic unpowered, no real facilities - no nice spot to go for a walk as the whole site is surrounded by the owners piles of “stuff”. The whole just site really needs to be worked on - it looked like they just didn’t care. We’ve had so many great hipcamp experiences this our first bad one.

Camping at Wurdale Waters bottom dam was a great place to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity with peaceful nights spent star gazing by cosy open fires. Lots of Birdlife which was a delight to watch as well as the Highland Cattle which were an impressive sight to behold. Very photogenic. A great base to explore the Great Ocean Road with Torquay being a 30 minute drive and Lorne about 40 minutes away . All in all a great place to have to yourselves. Thanks for hosting Barney

Peaceful
Tent
Beautiful and peaceful. Site had its own privacy away from the main road and a nice outlook over the surrounding lands and wurdi boluc reservoir. I found the dam although beautiful, didn’t look swimmable. Great fire pit too. Would definitely book again.
