Twenty years ago, 317 Springtown Road was an abandoned 27 acres farm, and an eyesore to everyone. What Farmer Ray, a well known chef for 30 years, saw was an opportunity to actualize his dreams of having a place to raise animals and grow vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers to share with others. Full of potential, his field of dreams has become a working farm, home to chickens, bees, pigs, cats, along with row after row of vegetables, flowers and herbs.Nestled on 27 acres, you are under the farm's chestnut trees. WE PROVIDE A 10x 12 canvas TENT, (sleeps 2 adults and up to 2 kids) queen bed, and additional flip out mattress (for kids), fire pit, grill, and portopotty. LARGER PARTIES ARE WELCOME! If you have additional campers, you can book a second tent adjacent to the main tent. (Sleeps 2 adults (blow up mattress) and up to 2 kids) which would cost an additional $50 for each additional person per night. You can see the beautiful mountain ridge in the distance, and the rows of organic vegetables. We adjoin the fabulous 30 mile rail trail, have everything from pigs, chickens, goats, ducks and turkeys, and a seasonally stocked farm stand.

A nice place near Minnewaska
Tent · With kids
Pretty happy with this site, the raised platform was especially nice given the rain. Excellent location very near New Paltz. Simple set up but quite comfortable. Some downsides, though: access path was very rutted and nonearby bathrooms.

Great site. Just wish the farm stand had been open when we were there. And the port-o-potty is located adjacent to the farm stand, about 60 yards from the camp site. But we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Camp on a farm!
With pets
Great location, easily able to access the mohonk preserve! The canvas tent was more spacious than we had anticipated. Lots of things to explore on the farm as well! Had a great time with my dog and will definitely return next time we are in the area!

We usually pitch our own tent but I did not have the energy to pack it all up. This was a perfect spot. The yurt was clean, on a platform. There's a table and firepit with benches. The area is private with chestnut trees lined up. It's 20 min from lake minewaska which makes perfect for hiking then camping without having to worry about pitching a tent. We were able to orde eggs and bacon from the farm. It's super close to town so you can also easily grab food.it was nice and quiet at night. Beautiful starry sky. We walked around the farm and visited the pigs. In the morning walked the adjacent trail which goes for miles.

Great and easy glamping
Group trip
This farm is an absolute gem. We wanted to swim on Lake Minnewaska for the day and found this farm when searching the area. We didn't have a chance to meet Iris directly but she set up a beautiful glampsite with beds, lanterns, cooking utensils and a fire pit. It's a great plug and play camping experience with tons to explore in the area. Highly recommend!
