We had such a perfect stay at Windy Oaks. We tried the option of having Tony and Ange supply and set up our whole site including our tent, sleeping area, cooking area, toilet and shower! We were so amazed at everything they provided for us. Everything from a bbq to head torches, camp chairs and basically everything else we could possibly need while there. They were even so kind to bring us down some eggs and veges from their garden when they came down to greet us! The site is right on the river and was great for fishing and gold panning. Itā€™s also completely private! We will definitely be coming back again as this was such an easy experience for us. All we needed to bring for ourselves was our pillows, blankets and food. We are very impressed. Thank you Tony and Ange šŸ˜Š

One of the best camping experience!
Tent Ā· With kids
We had an amazing weekend in Windy Oaks. Firstly, it's a beautiful campsite facing the river and we were swimming in the river everyday. Angela and Tony are such hospitable and wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to lend us a gazebo which helped greatly in the 35+ deg days we had this weekend. It was also so lovely chatting to Tony and learning all about the area and what they do. The farm breaky breakfast is a MUST order! Everything in it was delicious. Probably some of the best bacon and sausages we've ever had. Eggs and tomatoes were extremely fresh and we loved Angela's homemade bread and strawberry jam. They were also so kind to give us their home grown potatoes, show us around their farm where our little one got to feed their chickens and ducks. We had the best time and are definitely looking forward to visiting again. Thanks again Angela and Tony!

Fantastic Spot!
13 m travel trailer
Well, for our inaugural Hipcamp experience, we were not disappointed. Communication with Angela was excellent. The directions to Windy Oaks were simple to follow and we were met by our host, who guided us down to the huge space by the river. There were many options/sites to choose from. The site was perfectly situated by the river. The exclusivity of this camp is what attracted us here - our four-legged friends agreed! The area was mowed and a fireplace/pit provided. Firewood was readily available and our host, Tony also offered to assist if required. We had decided to pre order two pizzas on our first night. What a great idea! Angela lovingly created two taste sensations using home-made dough (thin & crispy for us) and toppings using locally sourced ingredients. Both pizzas, 'Meat me at O'Connell' and 'Dalai Lama' were fabulous. We thoroughly recommend you try these! We were also treated to a dozen farm fresh eggs from the Windy Oaks 'girls' and homemade strawberry jam. We were not disappointed. Both Angela and Tony are passionate about their place and what it and the region has to offer. Thank you Angela and Tony! We will definitely return!
