Lovely forest behind our home, available to travelers for tenting or RV. A safe place to stay as you're stopping through. Exactly 4.8 miles from the 295 off-ramp and Route 1. A private wooded lot on a road with farms and woodland cradled by the Cathance and Muddy Rivers which flow onward to Merrymeeting Bay, the Kennebec, and the ocean beyond. Some road noise from Middlesex road during commuting times that quiets down for sleeping. Topsham is lovely and I'm grateful to live here and share this space with travelers! Note that the service fee goes to Hipcamp. My site is designed to be low-priced, easy in-out, and a convenient stop-over for the traveler. Learn more about this land: Available to travelers for tenting or RV. Total property size is 3.5 acres. Water and respite available here for a day or two, if this area is your destination or if you're on the road toward an adventure. A single private site. We are not a campground, this is the back part of our land that we hope to offer as respite and safety for travelers looking for this kind of place to stay. We give absolute privacy to campers in the hours 4pm-11am. Please consider that we might be on the lower property during the middle of the day: 11am-4pm, which matches most of our visitors needs as they are using the property as an evening and morning stopover. Please visit the Maine Forest Service Fire Danger Report if you are considering requesting a campfire. Fires are not allowed when the fire danger is High through Extreme. We will talk about fire safety if the danger level is Moderate. Thanks for being safe! https://www.maine.gov/dacf/mfs/wildfire_danger_report/index.html Things to do in area: Midcoast Maine has an endless bounty of treasures for visitors in all seasons. Hiking, biking, boating, history, art, swimming, food, and cultural events with beautiful nature surrounding it all.  Closest to site: The Tarbox Preserve, a Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust property with hiking and skiing, is 2 lots up the road. The lovely Head of Tide park with a small waterfall is 2.2 miles to the west. Grocery: Our towns (Topsham and Brunswick) have several grocery stores: Hannaford, Shaw's, Market Basket, Walmart/Target grocery, and a wonderful natural foods store Morning Glory Natural Foods.  We have many farm stands with organic and locally grown produce closely nearby - ask us to help you locate them! Food: Brunswick is restaurant and brewery heaven! Amazing beers, wood fired pizza, sushi, Thai, Vietnamese, Greek, German, Colombian street food, Filipino, deli, Fusion and more! Also check out Reny's - A Maine Adventure for your needed supplies. Harpswell Heritage Land Trust trails are dog-friendly and on the beautiful Maine coast. I recommend Mitchell Field beach at low tide, Brunswick Topsham Land Trust trails and Maine Audubon trails (we love Hamilton Preserve in West Bath!). Cute downtown Bath with its bakery and shops. For tents: A ~14' x 14' flat area with a thick bed of pine needles and surrounding drainage trench makes for a perfect site for a tent. If you are staying in an RV, the pine needle bed is a nice place to place chairs. For RV: The entryway road is leveled at the top and suitable for any camper less than ~22 feet. The woods road is private and should be considered completely for the use of the camper. Feel free to park your car or camper farther down the road near the woodshed/turnaround if you'd like! There are two fire pit options - One smaller ring immediately next to the pine needle bed tent site. A second larger fire ring is just to the side of the woods road. Either can be used when the fire safety is acceptable. The site remains pleasantly cool through most of the summer, being under the mature forest canopy. Please do expect biting insects - Maines' forest black flies in late May and mosquitoes that are most active in early-mid summer and when the humidity is high. The toilet is fully private from the home, and semi-private from the campsite. We manage waste from our visitors by open pit burning, and so a structure is not feasible for our design. Communicate with your camping buddy (Hey, turn around and look at the beautiful oak tree!) while you have a moment to yourself and nature.

We had a great time camping at Sarah and Andrew’s place. The tent site was on a bed of pine needles which made it very comfy to sleep on. They provided us with firewood and had multiple fire pit locations. Overall the hosts were very kind and showed us around the property so we knew where to find all that we needed. We had a very enjoyable stay!

We loved our one night stay at this site ! Sarah was very helpful and we had a lovely chat ! Can see a lot of care and love has gone into this site. The bed of needles we got to pitch our tent on was great! We would definitely come back. Thanks again !

Wonderful idyllic Hipcamp
Sarah’s and Andrew’s is a wonderful Hipcamp. Sarah has made it idyllic, with a soft pine-needled pad to hang out on, delicious fresh well water, chairs kept in a covered shed, providing free wood (ranging from kindling to larger, kept dry). It is quiet, private, one couldn’t ask for more. And a toilet. My doggies and I are repeat guests, because we loved it the first time.

Absolutely incredible setup!! Sarah & Andrew have multiple spots to pick from when you get up to the site but their pine needle bed location was superb for tent camping. We went over fire safety and the provided firepits were a huge hit with our kiddo as a first time camper! The pups did amazing with all the space. We were provided a couple gallons of potable water for use and non-potable water for fire maintenance. Hosts are incredibly friendly and put a lot of love and thought into their setup. No questions, we wanna come back! Can't wait to plan our next trip!

This is a beautiful well cared for little spot with incredibly nice hosts. We loved staying here and really appreciated being able to break up our drive further north a little.

Amazing!
Super kind, excellent spot. 10/10, would stay again in a heartbeat — very quiet and better than most public campgrounds
